Icarus thought his cousin, Emmett, was weak. But he was a lion—albeit a sickly one. When he was told that he had to spend the day's hours locked in a room with him to mend broken bonds, he about burned down the house with his roars. He refused to look at his cousin, afraid his wounded puppy demeanor would rub off on him.

He sat himself on the opposite side of the room, picking up a random book to pass the time. But time seemed to go on forever, the ticks of the clock dragged on for what felt like years. Icarus grew irritable, the reveries in the book bored him out his mind—he had no interest in fairy tales. The last thing he wants to do is open his mouth and waste oxygen on Emmett, but time never seemed so still..
