a ball to end all : 89th

The news that Danny had achieved game maker status did raise a couple eyebrows from his parents. They never thought that he would have gotten that far, but what was probably more perplexing was that they weren’t even sure how he had been considered for such a prestigious role. None the less, his parents wanted to celebrate in a way that would have coincided with a new batch of tributes being brought to the capitol. 

Cue a lavish masquerade party thrown by the Pieterse’s. However, with their connections, they were able to have it be considered an event new to the capitol. A first impression for the tributes and the mentors. The capitol will already get to see all the tributes during the parade, but this ball will be a chance for the more wealthy and affluent members of society to really get an intimate chance to talk with tributes. It is suggested that all tributes attend, as there will even be goody bags at the end! The mentors should advise the tributes well about how to act, because if they want sponsors…. Then this would be the perfect opportunity to mingle.

I will be posting a starter post for this event! This is a chance for tributes to really get to see and experience more of the capitol while they are here. This party is hosted by Danny's family, and everyone who is anyone in the capitol is invited to participate. Tributes especially.

The theme for this party is a Masquerade Ball (for Halloween), you may discuss with the stylist of your district about inspo for looks and what not. The masks may be on sticks and pulled away from the face at any point.

There is an IC incentive for posting in this thread. The goody bags mentioned in the post will contain a phone card loaded with one use for a phone call home with their family/loved one of their choosing. I will be keeping a list of tributes that post in this thread for reference. You can make your phone call at any point, though it does have to be made BEFORE the tribute heads into the arena.
