her parents had named her honey because that was their most popular item they produced on their farm. it wasnt often you would find beekeepers in eleven, but the lavenders had been one of the few families to do it well enough to keep their colony alive for years.

they grew other things, like spices and plants, but honey always focused on the bees. she had always been gentle with them, knowing well that the consequence would be far worse then she could have imagined if she had misplaced her intentions. the amount of stings that she had to treat from her fathers old calloused hands was more than enough proof. she always was calm when she handled them, and her brothers and sisters had dealt with everything else on the farm.

honey enjoyed other things about the district, like being able to always have access to various things around the district as long as she kept a couple jars of honey on her. her family had always been a little more generous then most, giving most of whatever they harvested to the capitol, but also being able to give what they could to others. her parents instilled that in her, that being generous and kind could always go a long way.

and oh boy did it.
