Kevin-
He grabbed his rifle off of the rack. He knew his from the rest of them because he had engraved a little design into it. Every other peacekeeper kept theirs nice and prestine but he knew it was stupid to do that. It was best to know your rifle, weapon, equipment. Anything not yours and you used it would be a complete failure. But that didn't matter to him. He grabbed it off of the gun rack. Attached the sling to the rifle and slung it over his shoulder and neck. He grabbed his vest and helmet. He was ready to head back out of the district. He was suppose to be going back to district 2 for more training and possibly training other future peacekeepers.
He looked to his unit and nooded to them as a sign of saying good luck while he was gone. He walked out of the door onto the road leading up to the train station. No one was out during this usual time. He walked up the steps to the train that had just unloaded it's cargo and was loading cargo to bring it back toward the lower districts. He looked at the man incharge and nooded at him indicating that he was ready. Kevin climbed aboard the train and got situated in his seat. He put his rifle face down inbetween his feet and put his cover over his face so he could get some sleep. He felt the train jerk as it started to leave the station.
Kevin fell asleep not long after leaving the station. It felt like possibly a few hours had passed and he woke up again. He looked outside the windows and he knew he was possibly in district 11 or 10. But he did know the train was not moving at all. He grabbed his rifle and threw his equipment on. He loaded a magazine into the rifle and racked the bolt back. He knew now his gun was hot and ready to fire if it came down to it. His mind raced. The sounds of his trainer rang through his mind. "CONDITION 1 Rifle at the ready." He headed toward the door and slid it open to see a few workers working on the train.
He asked them what was going on and they told him the train had broken down. He also heard that they didn't know when they would have it up and running. He knew this was a set back in all the plans he had. But atleast it wasn't a total bust. The last thing they told him was he was in distirct 10. He had heard a few stories from new recruits that came from here. But he didn't know if any of it was true.
He hopped out of the train and walked a little to the station. He looked around and saw people moving. They didn't look normal to him. Hell nothing here looked normal to him. He had to see if there was another peacekeeper near by. He walked a little into town. His gun was at a ready. He had it facing the dirt while he walked. He looked around and saw someone that looked like another peacekeeper. He walked over to him and tapped him on the shoulder.
"Hey this is SGT. Brown of district twelve. We were on our way to District two for some training. I was wondering if you guys have a place for us to stay. My squad doesn't wanna just sit around. So bascially I am also asking if you need any help around here while we are stuck waiting on the train?" He looked at the Peacekeeper waiting for a response. Hoping that he was not intruding to much while they are here.
