Being a Career is overrated.

I know most people would have put a swear word somewhere near the end of that sentence but I’m trying my best not to talk like that. All the sweaty kids at the gyms and centres are using them and it makes me feel like I’m surrounded by... well, by people who don’t hold themselves in very much regard. They roll their eyes at me and tell me I’m too stuck up, too frigid, too shallow. And maybe they are right, that I want to be known for more than my strength or my aim or my right arm. I want to be dignified, and graceful, and admired for my mind as well as my might - long after my body gets older and my name can no longer be plucked from a glass bowl.

But it makes my parents happy to know I have some tricks up my sleeve should I be picked, so I roll my eyes and run along and swallow down bad words better left unsaid.
