The Uprising: Rebellion of Runaways

GREATNESS. LOYALTY. FREEDOM.

The group is actually quite old, as it began only several years after the rebellion had ended. District people were becoming even angrier at the Capitol, despising the Hunger Games that their children were forced into. As tensions grew, a few people fled to the woods to escape their Districts, only to meet each-other, hiding in what was left of District 13.

Everyone there had their own reasons for hating everything about the Capitol, and the whole idea for a gang just sort of happened. The group was small though, and it took years for more members to actually be found. It was complicated, the secrecy. They had to stay hidden, and yet, how were they going to fight against the Capitol and stay anonymous at the same time?

Most people eventually found the idea stupid, valuing their lives over others' freedom. They thought it was a lost cause, but no one could blame them. It really was. Because of this, the group became smaller, and that only left some of the older members who wanted their own freedom back. They wanted to live easier lives. What kind of country was it, if it was going to let one place live nicely, while in most others, people were dying and living miserable lives? It wasn't right, and they knew it, but they had no way to fight for it. They were just a group of people who all hated the same thing.

Eventually, the whole idea of the gang faded away, while only some small information, left in some old, ruined buildings, remained. Until it was found again, and the Uprising began again.

Though things have changed. In the time that the Uprising has come back, there has been turmoil within the group. The past leader, Haven, and her VP Caden, could agree on little. Caden wanted the power, Haven wanted Caden to stop causing problems. In a last ditch effort to keep Caden from harming the rest of the group, Haven set off a bomb that not only killed Caden but also herself. The Uprising was left without higher power. All of the lower members were confused as to what to do next. Who would be their leader? The answer came not long after, when a past-Career form District Two entered the scene and, when hearing their story, immediately offered to take that position. Just like all the rest, he had something to fight for too.


Goal:
People are angry. As few people fled from the Districts and hid in the ruins ,and the group developed, it was clear that they all hated the same thing. The Capitol. Throughout the years, the idea of the group has still remained the same, and people still want to find a way to gain back their happiness, or in some cases, get revenge. Rebellion is the sole purpose, but everyone has their own reasons. No one knows how they might do it, and no one is really confident that they will still be alive afterward, but they have their goal. They are freedom. They are superior. They are The Uprising.
