Mustang Galvez // District One

Coarse black hair defines him. It's styled above his head, in the roughness at his jawline, along his young chest. There's just something unruly and remarkable about that hair. Tang doesn't do much to manage it either, except for the mop above, which has been styled and trimmed into a mohawk more than one. Whatever the ladies what, they get, even when it comes to grooming habits. He's always willing to swoon, to take advice, whether it to be shave his head, or wear a scarf (it's manly if it's black, right?).

Tang is a Career. Born and bred. But there's a desperation to him that would make you think twice. Why would a Career be so clingy, so obviously needy? Wouldn't all Careers be the sort to survive on their own - man vs. wild and all that?

But no, that's not Tang, not even a bit. He's always learning, constantly interested in new techniques. He's learned how to fight a dozen different ways and he wants more - not because he's burly and arrogant, but exactly because he's insecure. If he doesn't have all the weapons, how will he save his own hide?

Tang was born the nephew of a Victor in District One, although that's not so uncommon. Still, the Galvez treat his Aunt with reverence. Tang is obsessed with the Games, with training, with whatever would get him ahead. It has been a long, uphill struggle, not one to be relished, but finally, finally all that work is paying off. Slowly Tang is dissolving the baby fat, so slowly he is coming to understand the meaning of strategy. And if he makes an absolute fool of himself in the interim, for asking questions, for flirting aimlessly, well - so be it.
