Runaways.. ( Sarella, Anthena, OPEN to all)

I strode up the pathway that led to the small, two room house that Uncle Fields had built. My stomach growled as I smelt the fresh eggs and bacon, the aroma coming from the excellent cooking Daphne had been doing.
"It's a bit late for breakfast, but I've been keeping it warm for you," she tells me. That much is true, the sun hovers at a steep position in the early spring sky. "I'd appreciate it if you would take better care of Daffodil. It seems as if she been running through bushes and mud puddles, as it were. Part of the pig fence needs repairing as well, we wouldn't want daddy to get upset."
I have a lot on my mind as of late, more than as customary. "As you wish", I reply. I stand at the table, spearing the eggs and bacon onto my knife, sliding them off into my mouth. I decide not to tell her about last night's events, but ... "You know that old house down the dirt road by the forest?"
"Yes, nobody lives there now, as I would imagine that it gets quite drafty in there in the winter time. Why, snow would fall right through the roof. The walls must be soft and moldy, not something most would call a home."
I make my way back to the dirt road, not bothering Daffodil for another riding just yet. I suppose if necessary, the runaways are able to stay in the old house for a couple of nights, as long as they don't try to draw any attention. Uncle Fields just hates any attention that would draw suspicion to his sector of the ranch.
