good morning, today is WEDNESDAE and the weather looks bright with a slight chance of obsessive murder
[/i][/right]i'm torn in opposite directions
the plot sucks
but these killings are gorgeous
god damn, these killings are gorgeous
Right in the eye. The spear drives through the weak point of Dragan's head, the eye socket. The spear meets the soft tissue of his eyeball and drives through his skull. It's not a pretty death, his blood sprays on my face like a sprinkler. I try to turn away, but I must force the spear further into his head, twisting so that he is surely no more. I have taken my kill, no more dawdling. I prove to the others that I can, and will kill. Blood-stained teeth are bared into a smile as I turn to Kiera, pulling my spear out from the boy's eye.
His blood spills into the pool, mixing with the fluids of someone else's death. My face drops as I see Atlas dying in the pools, missing a leg. He was an idol, a perfect leader for our troupe. Now he writes an imperfect mess on the floor. We will surely be lacking in strength without him, and although a lot of tributes have already fled, we have a few more to pick off before we are safe. Without Atlas, we will struggle.
Yet I do not go to him. I do not help him. He is dying, and I need to put my own wellbeing before his. I think of the positives. At least I don't have to kill him myself.
"Well... I guess it's just the three of us..." I say, standing over the body of Dragan, frisking him for items. I don't occupy myself with his corpse for long, I don't want to expose myself. To avoid making myself a target, I just take the Bow and Arrow that he was using.
The river runs nearby and I can’t ignore the fact that the Gamemakers have placed a river so close to the Cornucopia - Surely most of the tributes would trip over each other at the chance of gaining water, it’s just a question of is it fresh and safe to drink? It’s definitely a river, because no ocean or lake could reproduce the lifeforce trickling that is a stream. These murky puddles we stand in have to be connected to it too, in which case I doubt the water is clean. I am concerned nonetheless, and I consider advising my allies against heading in that direction, because I really do see another massacre waiting to happen. The stream will run red with their blood.
Let them. Let the fools kill each other whilst you stay here and defend what you have won. Are going to win. Tenses get in the way of another fight, I can’t get too ahead of myself without facing what is in front of me here and now. My allies surround me, comforting in our strength. Any one of these tributes would be a fool to face us alone, my only worry now is that they could perhaps unite against the Careers. District One and Wednesdae. Even then they could not stop us.
We target another tribute, Peridot lashes out with his weapon, a Glaive that looks impossibly heavy. I give Kiera a sideways look. I like her, because I trust her more than Peri. She volunteered, like me, and I understand what she’s been through in terms of standing in someone else’s shoes. Technically Christoph Carlisle should be stood in my place. He’d probably be dead by now, but here I stand, alive - Better than him.
I turn to strike out at our little enemy, so weak an insignificant in the grand scheme of things. Just another name on the list of the dead. Maybe he will join with Atlas and Dragan soon. Return home, my friend.
