The breath was cool on me as I wandered outside. It was a considerably nice day out; the sun was shining and beaming down upon those that it was perched above. I though, could not feel it the same way as the others did. To me, all it meant was that it was another day of whispers and laughs, that was a definite for sure. Everyone seemed to at least have heard of me here, I was even commonly taunted by small children that couldn’t seem to find anything else to do.

Cruelty. That was the word. Even my own family found it fun to laugh at me, at least my younger brother did. All mother did was just sit there and pretend that I wasn’t hers. I wish that she could know what it was like to be me, just a person with possible brain problems. Fun, eh? Do they think that it is the best of fun to see things that they tell me aren’t there? I see fires, guns, waves. Symbols of death. Ignorant people, they ignore it all, as if to blow away death. It ‘tis already upon us, I can see it. Yet no one will believe me.

Our house was just many of the worn down, shack like buildings perched so precariously on the side of the street. I looked to the house next to ours; it was almost as if I was seeing the image all over again, my first hallucination. I remember the screams then, the smell of wood burning and the sting as the fire seemed to hit my flesh. Even though I was only seeing this all through a small window, I knew that it was there. I have seemed to accept many things over the years in fact, one of them being about my ‘issues’. I have concluded that they are warnings, and in fact that many of them are real. Where I would see lines of peacekeepers standing one day, I’ll go back and see the plants pushed down almost by feet the next. Though I am told that this is not real, why should I believe those who try to comforst me into dumbness? They all laugh because I am strange, I wish they would suffer, those who laugh.

My walk continued steadily, only now were the thoughts buzzing around in my head. This was the usual daily thing, the way that I originated most of my theories or ideas. It was in these daily walks. Normally after school they would take place, a time where I wouldn’t be forced to cooperate with others that weren’t like me. To be by myself though, with someone similar to I, someone that is me, it is like having a friend inside of yourself.

It was then that I realized that I had gone out of my way, something I also commonly did. Nearby there were children playing and people also walking by, quite a busy sight. There were also many trees, I became curious when I saw one of the branches on one shiver slightly. I braced myself for the worst, possibly someone to come down and start shooting of another danger as such. After nothing happened though, I ventured slightly closer.

“Hello,” I whispered, noticing a small bit of bright red hair. I didn’t want to disturb anyone, especially if it was someone dangerous. That wouldn’t be good.

Mia Sapphire

Playing in the park is so much fun! I'm a little old for it but you know what, who cares! My sister keeps nagging me to go. "One more minute!" I yell back. Demi sits on the bench wondering why I play these games. I soon realize that I had been paying to much attention to her than to kickball! It was my turn and the ball was coming my way. As I'm about to kick it, I notice next to the bench was a tree house! "Cool" I say as I leave the game. I sit on the bench with Demi pretending to listen to what she says. "Uh huh" "really" I say and nod my head.

I look over at the tree house and someones getting in! The red hair got my attention. Are you even listening! my sister yells. I sigh and watch her talk more about how much she hates stray cats. When I can finally look over a second person got in! Oh, I wish I could go. " Hey can I go in the tree house?" I ask her.

Demi Sapphire

"What! You want to go in that thing!" I scream I can't believe she hasn't heard of that place! I pull Mia to the side. As we walk I calm myself down. This is Mia, not Eddy I replete in my head. "You can't go in their Mia. It's not very safe. I heard someone fell through the boards. Also A weird girl in in it. Now lets go home." I try to grab her arm, but Mia is gone. Wait, Mia is gone! I run over to that dumb tree house to find her climbing inside! "Thats SO mature for a 14 year old"

I looked up, the girl began to talk. Her voice was nice, kind of flowing and smooth, like a butterfly. If butterflies could talk, I was sure that they would sound like her. Her eyes were pretty and her gaze was just as delicate as her voice. She had a wild look in her eyes like she might flee if I said anything else. She looked suprised, but not afraid. Yet, she looked weary.

"Are you okay?" I tried to adjust my eyes to the sun as I looked up at her. "I mean, you look a little scared, or suprised, I can't tell."

"Yea I am okay and both I guess." She was admitting to be scared and surprised? I suppose that many people didn't talk to her much if she was scared of me. Most people just thought that I was really strange, to have a fear though, it is an entirely different concept. Most people gave me looks; this girl had her eyes wide open as she looked down at me. I could tell that there were other people that she was watching too. Every second or so, her head would twist slightly to look at something; I could tell that it was just other people. Maybe she was nervous about them as well? It wasn't my business to butt into other peoples situations as such, so I decided to steer clear away from more thoughts like that.

“I’m not too used to talking to people,” I looked up at her steadily. “I’m Alouette, by the way. It’s nice to meet you Luna.” Goodness. My introductions were horrible. I sounded like a small little three year old trying to make a ‘bestest’ friend. At least, I remember it being that way with my younger sister, she was always a people person, lucky little girl she was.

When I got inside I noticed the two girls talking. I walked into the corner and waited a bit before they stopped. I listened to see if I could get their names. I'm Luna one of them said. Luna I've got to remember that. "I'm Alouette" the other one replied. "I'm Mia sorry about my sister she's not a real people person."

Wait, I remember her! The on with the short legs! I'm not supposed to talk to her. She seems nice. Why doesn't Demi like her?

Oh, why does she have to do this. I'm here to protect her, and her reputation. Wait what about my reputation! If I'm seen with that girl, how could I stay that tough one!

"sorry about my sister" Was that Mia! She's apologizing for me! I go over to the bench and think about if I should go get her. Then I just go home to Uncle Eddy and the ranch. She'll know how to get home

"for all you know. I am 16 and about 4"3'. My legs are the size of your knees to your hip."That may have been a bit harsh. I told her that her sister left her and she did not listen to me. The girl in the corner..... Mia should hate me. Just like her sister. She should have left like her sister, but no the girl stays.
