As soon as Rosie said she knew Karmin, and her better half, Karmin couldn't help what slipped out of her mouth. "That's funny. I don't know you." Kasper and Karmin were used to people saying they knew them; if it was their history, or twin careers, they were well known. Which they hated, so when they were able to use it for their advantage, they did. Karmin figured it must of effected Rosie a little, since Karmin once again had a back to her, and out of the conversation.

Then of course, another rude comment of Rosie's, obviously saying Karmin's name wrong; which Karmin assumed was an attempt to get back at her for Karmin's last comment. Still she let it slide, for now, it was entertaining to see Rosie try to upset Karmin. The next attempt bring Karmin's twin, Kasper's strength into it.

"I know everything about my brother, yes." Karmin replied. Most people didn't see past Kasper's physical appearance, often casting him off much weaker then he actually was. But Karmin wasn't going to say anything, despite the burn in her throat that wanted to. Save the rage for the Games, Karmin was constantly told.

The next attempt to strike Karmin, had her unable to contain her laughter, a few small giggles slipping from Karmin's red lips, as she waited for Rosie to finish. Thinking of Rosie flirting with Kasper, interrupted Karmin's ability to reply, being so over-taken by laughter. Karmin shock her head no, as her giggling slowly faded.

"I don't think my brother likes sluts." Karmin said, sticking her tongue out, and ending with a smile. "But if you get into the Games, maybe that can be your trick... Kill the victims you sleep with." Giving a half a smile, and a wink.

Alaric seemed to grow in Rosie's adoration, each word seemed to inflate his ego, each batting of her eyes bringing a smile to his face. She nodded when he asked if she meant that he was better than the others, it was the truth, to her he was. As he ran his hands through his hair his muscles were more than rippling and she felt her heart flutter. Alaric was special, and even though the feelings might be fleeting, she enjoyed his company and wanted to keep him next to her as long as possible. Before she could reply the comment she had causally tossed at Karmin seemed to have hit its mark first starting with her laughing manically at something that no one understood and even though she missed the main part it still stung her and the short girl lashed out. "I don't think my brother likes sluts. But if you get into the Games, maybe that can be your trick... Kill the victims you sleep with."

The way she stuck out her tongue and winked at Alaric was so immature and almost comical, especially as his hand slipped into Rosie's and squeezed giving her just what she wanted. Her first response was to yell back but the way Alaric's eyes glared at Karim she didn't want to ruin it. Oh look at the hole you've dug little girl, you have no clue what you're doing and who you're playing with. No one will take what I want, especially someone like you. Someone who'd rather spend time with her brother than other kids her age. Someone who knew everything about their brother. Pretty sick if you ask me. Instead she snuggled closer to him and shot a surprised look at Karmin "I don't know what you problem is, but you don't know anything about me. At all."

She pursed her lips and glared. "Besides, I really don't think you know who you're dealing with saying things like that. Its hard to take kindly to someone with such poor manners." There wasn't a girl in District Four that Rosie wouldn't go toe to toe with over something she wanted. Besides Ran Murel, that girl is flat out crazy. She chewed on her lip and rested her head against Alaric, the water from the waves had dried leaving a salty residue on his body almost gritty to the touch, and part of her wanted to place a kiss on his chiseled chest. Instead she squeezed his hand and batted her eyes at Karmin.

"Alaric, do you have dinner plans? Maybe you'd like to come over to my place? Dad's been trying to teach me how to cook his lobster bisque."

Alaric was pleasantly surprised when Rosie didn't lose her head at Karmin's comment. Instead, she leaned closer to him and said, "I don't know what your problem is, but you don't know anything about me. At all." She glared daggers and pursed her lips. "Besides, I really don't think you know who you're dealing with saying things like that. Its hard to take kindly to someone with such poor manners." He had to agree with her; it was rude to judge people when you first met them. Rosie had implied that she would have flirted with Karmin's brother, but she'd never said anything about sleeping with him.

Rosie's soft hair tickled his bare skin as she rested her head against him. "Alaric, do you have dinner plans?" she asked, squeezing his hand. Before realizing she probably couldn't see him do it, he shook his head. "Maybe you'd like to come over to my place? Dad's been trying to teach me how to cook his lobster bisque." Now that she mentioned it, he was pretty hungry. He hadn't eaten anything since before work, and when you're used to a 10,000 calorie diet, it makes you pretty damn hungry.

"Yeah, that sounds awesome. I'd love to," he said with a smile. Even though he had planned on having dinner with his parents, he could skip for a day. They were so used to his random outings by now that they didn't get upset about them anymore. Alaric just hated to be kept inside for too long, and he had to get out sometimes.

It seemed that everyone in District Four were all really the same; stuck up, opposite-sex crazy, know-it-all Careers. Karmin crossed her arms, and blew some stray hairs fallen in front of her face. A fun time with someone that seemed different, turned completely around, figures is all Karmin could think about. A pretty girl was making-fun of Karmin's twin relationship, and bringing her brother into something he wasn't involved, but Karmin calls her a slut and the world's coming to an end. Figures.

"I'm sorry, you're embracing a guy right in front of me, and asking to talk to my twin brother. On top of calling our twin relationship strange. What would you call that?" Karmin laughs at the circumstance, before finishing with. "It's a little difficult to have manners when you receive none, don't you agree?"

Why is it that even the Careers of District Four put so much energy into relationships, the exact reason why District Four never has a winner. Kasper and Karmin didn't fall into the stupid teenage stuff, and that was exactly why they were going to be the first victors in a long time. All the other Careers were wrapped up in other things. The twins were never seen apart because they're number one focus was training.
