Chloe hissed in pain as the knife sliced her cheek. Then, Jimmy passed her, commenting, once again, on her temper.
"That's it." She snapped. Taking out her gun, she aimed and shot Jimmy in the arm. "Don't ignore me again!" She snapped, running into the forest after the suspect. "Stay, Doogie!"

Chloe took a shaky breath, stopping with her gun in hand, looking around in the dark woods.
"GodDAMNit." She hissed. "Kudo, get your a** back to the city, or I'll-" She cut herself off, taking a deep breath.
"You have no earthy idea how intensely I hate you right now, Kudo."

Chloe backhanded the kid.
"First of all," she hissed. "This could have been easily handled without you. Why you were called, I have no f**king clue. Second of all," she slapped him again, on the opposite cheek. "I'm over ten years your senior. If you talk to me like that again, I'll not only have you kicked off this case, I'll make sure you never work for the Inter-District Police again, you hear me." She was near tears. This was such an easy case, and he'd completely ruined it!

"Hello, Dearie." She said. "You'll be staying with us for awhile. Is that alright? Well, frankly, you really don't have a say in it..." The huge, hulking men behind Sienna stepped a little closer.

Bishop's eyebrow raised, but he decided not to comment that, chances were, Detective Fernandez was the wolf, and she was shooting at him. "Sure," he said smoothly. "Where's the suspect?"
There was a long silence, and Bishop's eyes narrowed. "You let her get away." He said. Chloe bit her lip. "You shot a co-worker," Chloe winced visibly. "And you let the suspect get away." Chloe held her head high. "Yes."
Bishop's eyes narrowed. "Detective Fernandez, I'm afraid I can't let you be on this case anymore." Chloe's jaw dropped, and she stumbled slightly.

Astrid smiled. "I knew you would. You see, Detective Chloe Fernandez is in charge of two cases currently, both of which would, now, land me in jail. One would land you in jail.
"However, if the detective in charge of those cases were to have a fatal accident... Well, you understand, don't you?"

"Mr Kudo, I don't appreciate the presumption that you seem have that I'm stupid. I know a bullet wound from a wolf bite." Chloe looked like she was near tears. Bishop scrutinized her. "But... I'll give you one more chance, Detective." Chloe sighed in relief.
"Thank you sir."
Bishop walked off, and Chloe turned to Kudo.
"I guess won't kill you yet..." She said grudgingly. "But we're establishing some ground rules here and now, got it?"

"Rule number one. NEVER called me 'Chloe' unless I say you can. You will address me as Miss Fernandez or Detective Fernandez, or any variation thereof, within reason.
"Rule number two. You don't follow me when I chase a suspect unless I specifically ask you to, or if I call for backup. And even then, assume I'm actually calling backup and not you."
She scowled. "That's what'll, basically, keep you from further gun injuries. Now...Do you have anything, rule-wise?"

Chloe sat down and drank her Diet Dr. Pepper without much zeal. Two days ago, the obvious murderer of a young girl had disappeared in a hovercar in the middle of the woods. So far, they'd had no clues or leads as to who was driving it, or who owned it. Chloe banged her head against the desk. Sometimes, she really hated her job.
