(OCC: If you don't rejoin, I shall destroy you!) I look at Crys and give her a big hug! She was the first kind person I knew. I look back at Tom.

"Alright... get ready though, I'm lightning fast!" I say (OCC: I sound like that black guy from Rush Hour 3) I put my stick diagonal to my body. The point right between my left shoulder and neck. I hold it with my left hand, but my right hand holds the bottom part. I then take a swing and fake it as I almost hit the left side and I hit the right hand of Tom and kick at his stomach right after with great speed.

Crys laughed, returning Peeta's hug. He looked better than he had the day before, though he still looked more like a street rat than a child with a home. She hadn't expected that to change much, though. After all, it had only been a day, and it wasn't like she expected Kale to force Peeta into a bath or to go and buy him clothes in one night. Still, there was a happiness in the boy, and Crys was thankful. Apparently he had had more of an effect on her than she realized. She was already invested in his well being.

She shook her head at herself as she watched Peeta get into position with the stick. She still didn't know what, exactly, a katana was, but she would get over it. Instead, she watched the two boys with curiosity. This was something completely new.

It surprised her when Peeta actually managed to hit Tom not only once, but a second time with a swift kick. She raised her eyebrows, wondering if Tom had let him have the hits, if Peeta was just lucky this time, or if Tom wasn't as quick as she thought. She raised her eyebrows.

"Are you the same Peeta I met yesterday?" she wondered aloud. "Because the Peeta in front of me seems to be much better than yesterday." She looked at him thoughtfully, a small smile tugging at the corner of her lips.

She laughed. "Hey, Tom, Kale. I've got some leftover soup if you want it. Basil and Ivy won't eat it again. They've become spoiled with Ivy's cooking. Mine's not good enough for them any more."}

OmTom wasgasping for air. "What...the hell...was that?" He stood up shakily. Peeta was fast. Not only fast, but fast enough to hit me twice! He checked his body for injuries. One broken rib and a few bruises was all he had.

He looked around, remembered Crys was there, and blushed with embarrasment. " I would like some of your cooking. I really only have meat and fruit to eat with my brother."

^{Crys laughed again, ruffling Peeta's hair in what was probably an obnoxious manner. "You're amazing, Kid. Tom's no amateur."

She smiled at Tom and Kale. "Alright, you can have it. It's not good, I'm warning you. I'm a disaster in the kitchen. You'd probably prefer your turkey, or your meat and fruits." She shook her head. It actually wasn't that bad, it was filling and warm and that was all she really asked for in a soup. And the flavor wasn't terrible. Still, it wasn't as good as Ivy's cooking. It was embarrassing that someone six years younger than her could cook so much better. She smirked at the two boys. "But you've already agreed to take it. No backing out now."

She turned to Tom. "Any injuries? Peeta hit you pretty hard." She stifled a giggle at his blush. He didn't like to be beaten, and her being there probably only made it worse, it couldn't have helped that the person who had beat him was younger than he was. "Shall we head back to the district then, boys?"}

^{Crys smiled, turning and heading back to the District. She knew that they would follow. She waited a moment at the edge of the forest, listening for the quiet buzz of electricity pulsing through the fence. It wasn't there, like normal. She made her way back inside.

Once back in the district Crys wound her way through the Seam toward her own home. She turned back to face the boys. "Basil's in school, but Ivy should be sleeping in her room, so be quiet, okay."

She opened the door and stepped inside, removing the cap she always used in the forest to hide her bright hair. She pealed off her winter coat and headed for the kitchen where she warmed some of the soup. "Is everyone eating?" she asked. "Or should I put some in dishes for you guys to take home?"

As the soup was warming Crys dug through a cabinet and pulled out her first aid kit. She didn't know what exactly Tom would need from it, so she handed him the whole thing. "Take care of yourself?" she said with a small smirk.}

"I can handle it myself. " said Tom. He took the kit. " Thank you Crys." Tom ent to put on his dressings in the bathroom. He emerged only muinites later all bandaged up and just in time for soup. He tasted it. It was so good. The spices and herbs made it taste different from the food he had eaten before. " Crys, this soup is great! What did you put in it to make it so good?"

^{Crys laughed at Tom's reaction to her soup. It was so much better than her siblings. They really were spoiled from Ivy's cooking. "I don't really know, honestly." She shrugged, laughing again.

"Really, cooking is sort of like... The only time I really get creative, which is why Ivy took over in the kitchen. Sometimes I come out with something good, sometimes it's just plain disgusting. But really, I put in all the basic vegetables and a bit of rabbit meat, some water and butter so that it was actually soup, and then threw in random spices in who knows what amount. You'll never taste this same soup again." Crys smirked, picking up her first aide kit and putting it back in the cabinet.

"Anyway," she said from inside the cabinet. She closed it, turning back to face the group eating at her table. "If you think that's good, you should taste my sister's cooking. It's embarrassing that an eleven year old can cook so much better than me."

She picked up the bowl of a more traditional soup that was good for when you were feeling ill. She had followed a strict recipe when she made it so that Ivy couldn't complain. "Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go see if Ivy wants to eat something." She left the kitchen for her sisters room and set the bowl of soup on the bedside table next to the sleeping girl. She was happy to find that her fever had gone down.

She went back to the kitchen and sat down next to eat the bowl of soup she had dished up for herself. It really was good. It was much better than her last experiment. And easier to eat, too.}

I wasn't entirely sure if I should take Tom's word for it that Crys's cooking is good, or I should just leave. I didn't want to look mean... but I also didn't want to take chances. Taking wild guesses is not exactly my thing really. But I guess if I at least try this, I won't look like a jerk... well, not a total jerk.

I take a little bit of the soup. It tasted okay... tangy... but the after taste was rancid. Maybe it's an aquired taste I think. I try again, same results.

I push my soup away from me..... I kind of liked it, but I wasn't that hungry anyway. I remembered what I did to Tom. It was funny how I did it, because there was more that I could do.

I look outside and see Peacekeepers. My eyes widen as I see them beat down a man. I stand up straight....

"Guys.... there are Peacekeepers outside beating down a man. Should we help him?" I ask.

Up to you guys kale says in the background. I could take him out with 1 bullet from a house across the street or with my last knife up to you guys. Kale then reached for his soup and tasted it. WOW kale thought this was good better then turkey he had for a really long time. So whats the plan now that we are away from that retched forest of doom and my leg is still somewhat broken what do we do?

^{Crys smiled as she watched Peeta attempt to eat her soup. Apparently he didn't like it the way the others did. She didn't really mind. She had said it before, and she'd say it again, she wasn't the best cook, and she knew it.

She was about to offer Peeta something else when her mentioned the man outside. She looked in the direction and was surprised to see that the man the Peacekeeper was beating was her uncle. She hadn't seen him since she had left his home. Her heart leaped to her throat, not from worry for him, but from fear. Then her eyes narrowed into slits.

"Leave him," she said coldly, not giving them an explanation. Let them think what they will of her, but she didn't really want to explain. She looked at Kale, the coldness gone from her voice and face. She frowned at him though. "No murdering Peacekeepers in the district!" she whispered at him. "That's strictly Forest stuff! And especially not right outside my home! That's completely the opposite of keeping it away from Ivy and Basil."

She decided to ignore the mention of the gun. Kale knew she didn't like it, but he himself was very proud of it. Crys looked at the weapon as one of the few places she and Kale would ever but heads. Instead of bringing it up she walked to her window and closed the shutters. "That man's scum anyway. Let the peacekeeper do what he will."}

My eyes widen. What was Crys saying? I was stunned. I sit down and just watch. I lost all apetite... No more hunger, but hatred towards the Peacekeepers. I look away and ask there the facilities are.

I just only hope if this works.

Crys sunk to the floor, her back against the walll. She felt sick. "Somebody check on Ivy for me," she said quietly. "Make sure she's not awake. That her shutters are closed. That she can't see him."

She closed her eyes, sinking her head into her hands. "He's my uncle." She knew that that alone wasn't explanation enough. None of the boys in her kitchen knew about her history with her uncle, though she'd told Tom and Kale about him going crazy, but Crys wasn't sure she was quite ready to share it with them.}

"I'll go check on her, if she is awake, she'll scream anyway..." I get up and go check on Ivy... I don't know which is which, so I check on both. They are still asleep, however one sturred. I backed out slowly, when I knocked over something. I grab it before it hits the ground I put it back. I back out, but of course... Not back to Crys and the others. I get out the window.

I climb up the house and look down on the Peacekeepers. I then jump down on them, knocking one in the head and one on the shoulder. I then kick one in the shin and the other in the nose. I'm taking them out before the people inside find out. I grab the two Peacekeepers and throw them into the alley and attack them with my legs. By the time I beat them, it must have been five minutes. I then grab the so called uncle and take him inside and show him to Crys:

"Is this yoru uncle?" I bleed from the right side of my head and I have a black eye. But I'll bet it's worth it.
