Problems With Perception (Popcap/Cindy)

I aim the gun at his head.

"idiot" I said, leaping back away from his attack. I fire my last bullet strait at his his head. I know as soon as I pull the trigger it is over. I watch the bullet fly at him, but not making contact. It flies millimeters from his head, and hits a hubcap, and ricochets back, into to my chest. It is not a fatal wound, not by a long shot but it has done enough to stop me from running. I look up at him, and say "they were right"

I say "Right, that i am too young, and too weak to make a difference, all I wanted to do in life was to bring justice to the capitol, but have had to work so hard, and do terrible thins, then one day I wake up and realize that I haven't made a difference, and all I do is go and order around lunatics who son't respect me, and i have had it!" I just wanted to help people, and now i'm just a monster" For the first time in my life i feel the death of the ones I murdered, and I am sorry, then my shell of indifference returns, but for an instant I felt for what I have done.
