[/size]Little creatures dance along tiny strands of silk, waving at me with delicate and sharp legs before crawling away into the shadows.

I sit beside my dear friend and cousin, Malforce Keeni, as she lectures about today's plans and the deeds that she will need my assistance with. ~~She always needs my assistance, however.~~ Her locks of silvery blonde hair splay across her shoulders in a silky mess, and her lips are scrunched up into a thoughtful smirk. Her eyes glance at my fragile and lanky form as the light hues in my hazel eyes ignite with a certain warmth and kindness.

"Today will be really fun," I say to her, shivering from the cold and causing my strawberry-blonde hair to whip around my sharp and angled face. The attic in which we ~~made our lair~~ made host to our conversations is rather drafty and damp, but Malforce is quick to insist that this is by far the best place for us in the household.

I have to agree, however. Because, luckily, my little friends are watching me every time I entire this area of dastardly plots and schemes. The ones that I could never tame and the ones that I set free crawl along the rafters and peer down at me, telling me all of the secrets of every child in this household. But shush, my family doesn't know about that. They just think that I'm some naive little girl who is stupidly obsessed with arachnids.

Malforce lays a paper out in front of us, casually stating how it is a ~~messily~~ hand-drawn map of our household. Apparently inside Pyrian's ~~old~~ room is a box of matches that she wants just for the sake of it. ~~I'd refuse, but I know that Pyrian wouldn't mind. He's gone now, and I'm rather positive that the little creatures in his room have no use for that pack of matches.~~

Malforce quickly insists that I must be the one to tread into the room and locate the matches ~~(she always makes me do all of the work, and yet she still calls herself the leader)~~, due to my quiet and agile form. I can't stop myself from nodding and smiling with certain pride, however. It was is fatal flaw. Like the little creatures that danced upon my flesh at night, I only want to be understood and loved.

Malforce presses the map into my dainty heads with a face of eagerness, before grabbing me by my shoulders and shoving me out of the attic. The door closes behind me, and I glance down at the map. ~~(thank ripred that Malforce wants to be a villain and not an artist)~~ Wrinkling my nose after a while, I crumple up the map between my hands and toss it aside. I may be young, but I'm not ignorant. I know where Pyrian's room is and I need no map to guide me.

Walking through the hallways, I hear tiny voices whisper names. Whisper secrets. I smile, breaking out into a skip as the dress I wear billows around me. When most think of my family, they think of evil. Rumors plague us. Still, when the common-eye falls upon my form, most put aside their fears and remark on how innocent I appear. How could a girl with a smile so sweet harm anyone? Well, they're right. I would never cast harm onto another.

However, my darlings are not above infecting those who belittle me.

Tucking a stray strand of hair behind my ear, I open Pyrian's door. I accidentally rip a spiderweb in half whilst opening the door, and a delicate spider scrambles away for safety. I call out to it, however. I tell it that it has no need to fear, and I slowly get down onto my knees. I really don't know how it works, maybe it's just luck, but the spider stops and crawls over and onto my palm. I stare down at, my smile widening.

For a mere moment, I forget the task at hand. Malforce may feel strong and forceful when in her world of plots and schemes, but I prefer another route. For when I am surrounded by the creatures who are as underestimated as I, I feel free.

I'm small, just like them. I'm fast, just like them. I can easily be stepped on, just like them. But I can bring you down, just like them.
