While I tried to assume the best from him with the marks on his neck, asking if he defended some special lady he tells me something different. That instead of one there was two. Sisters. His own flesh and blood was the ones that he was defending and I lower my gaze just a bit as I listen to his tone change. I watch him change in a matter of seconds as his voice tells me the story. Tells me that he can't leave his two sisters alone with his mother. That she tried to drown him when he was six. When I was six... I got the same thing. We have more in common. Enemies at the same age. Things we had to deal at such a young age and look at where we are now? Both still exibiting marks, but mine are hidden beneath my blouse. I look into his face as he stops with the story. Stops with a climactic part about if he ever told anyone anything about what happened then.... Then what? What did she way... what was going to happen? Then, he gained back everything in the blink of an eye.

I keep my gaze on him as he takes my bandages off. Exposing the wound to the outside air. As if the air was toxic against the wound and making it burn with the very slight touch of atmostphere. The next few minutes seem to get intense. I feel like he's still undressing me in his mind. Does he like what he sees? I know someone else did... My thoughts sudden turn away from that memory and I focus completely back on him.

Well well, I don't play games. He tells me and I watch as he bites his bottom lip so discretely but I see it. I notice little things like that. I see the moment that he wants to do something else. Maybe take a kiss? Would I allow him? After all, am I leading him on enough for that to be okay? I get this weird vibe from him when he steps back away from me. I see his body. His naked skin. My eyes running over him in so many ways that I know he can feel me grazing his very body. This is getting harder to resist. Harder to keep playing this game with him... I wonder if it's as hard for him? What if we both loose this game and get caught up? I throw my thoughts aside when he suddenly comes back to me and touches my hand and bringing it up to his face. A jolt through my stomach once again. Resist girl... resist. Don't lose to your own game. His lips touch my skin, ever so softly. Ever so sensually. He lingers for an amount of time that I succumb to the fantasy. I try to imagine us together, but I dash those thoughts away quickly, opening my eyes again.

His thumb touches my lip, and I part them willingly. He''s going to kiss me... isn't he.. don't let him. You can't. I can't help but stare into his eyes as he keeps this facade going. I have to admit to myself, that he plays the cards well. Better than anyone I've met and so tempting... ever so tempting to just let myself go. But I won't. Then just as he gets closer to my face, I feel my heart skip a beat.

now now, why would someone want to try trget practice on something so... beautiful? There's this thud that catches my attention as I turn around to see the knife sticking out of the dummy. A concealed weapon he could have used on me in my most weakened states. Mentally I curse myself for getting so caught up in his charms, that if I were in the games, I would be dead right now. To answer his question though, I let my voice come out as sexually as possible.

"Because what I've got to offer... " I give him a quick satisfying moan, "is worth it and I don't just play nice. Nor, do I play fair..."

I leave him with that small bit of information before I retreat with my back against him. The blood begins to pool to the top of my skin just a little since I reopened the wound and I grimace as I touch the delicate skin beside of it. It's very sore. A little red, but nontheless, it is still somewhat fresh. Mark, though, claims that it looks like I was stabbed. That knife wounds go in clean and come out clean.

"I assure you, the knife penetrated my shoulder. Stayed in for a while as well. Need I remind you why I called it target practice?" I reassured him as I feel him come up from behind. It jars me just a little, but his breath on my neck makes my eyes drop a little as I fall once again into his charms. Who am I kidding to fight it? Just keep your distance. Don't let him win.

Needs stitches and from the looks of it, you got this illegally, else you would have gotten the stitches already.

"Guilty..." I murmer. Once again, he takes to whispering in my ears and I want to run because if there is anything else he tries on me, I'm sure that I'll just lose it. I like bad girls. Those four little words along with the kiss on his neck put her into a comatose state for a mere second before he offers to stitch it up. I straighten up and act as though what he just did didn't bother me. Hiding it with all of my ability. He will not see what he just inflicted on me. I follow behind him as he takes the lead to the first aid room, where all the medical supplies are. This room is usually kept open for all to use because of the frequency of injuries to the kids that are training. More than once, I've had to seek refuge in this place. Injuries are all too common for myself.

Upon entering the room, I look for some antiseptic wipes to clean it with before he takes over. I take two of the wrapped cloths and take a seat on the table and wait for Mark, wondering if I'm ready for him to inflict a bit of pain on me. Stitches usually aren't nothing when the wound is first done, but I've been dealing with the sore spot for four days. I unwrap the cloth from the seal and dab gently on the open wound. Just the very touch of the cloth hurts, but I dont' let it show. I look up at him, as I press the cloth on the wound.

Mark Antony

Mark tried to see what the kiss on the neck did for her, but it looked as if it did nothing. This didn't discourage Mark though, in fact, it made him all the more ready to pursue his goal. Finally reaching the health center, Mark goes to a sliding drawer and opens it, taking out some sterilizing gel, a needle, and some stitching thread. Setting them next to her on the table, going back to another drawer, searching if for something more. Finding it. It was an advanced capitol grade medicine that provided quick numbness to all feeling in the area affected by the gel. Kids were not allowed to use this. It was to rare to get from the capitol that they didn't want anyone but the trainers using it when it was really necessary. Mark sets the tube next to her and walks over to a sink, washing his hands with soap.

Turing back to her he smiles, with a sensual look on his face and begins working, grabbing a soft rag and puts the numbing gel on it, dabbing all around the area. " This will take a few minuets to take affect." Mark smiles, looking into her eyes, " This won't hurt after it takes place, he throws the rag into the sink and walks back over to her, standing right in front of her and says something, right in front of her, but to quiet for her to hear. Mark did this, his smile a little bigger and a little more effort was put into this one, wondering if she is curious what he just said, but when she asks if she asks, he says" I'll leave that up to your imagination." He smiles touching her neck right next to the wound, his fingers softly glide to the nape. Right now he was mixing flirting and distraction from the pain in her arm.

About 2 minuets pass, and Mark grabs the thread and needle. " Now look away, or this might freak you out. or so the teachers say." Mark touches the side of her face, and leads her gaze gently with a hand on her cheek, to his chest, removing his hand and he starts to stitch, every now and then taking a deep breath and flexing his abs, not to show them off, but just to take a break for a second as he works, but the abs are in her vision. Mark thought a seductive thought, I think I can get what I want out of this day, and Mark delicately continues to stitch. Finally finishing, running a finger over her numb shoulder. "20 stitches", he looks down at her with a smile and challenges her, and he turns around and sits next to her.

Mark leans over whispering in her ear," See that dummy in there." he points through the open doors to a dummy all the way at the back of the gym by the door. " I bet I have good enough aim to hit it with this. "he says still whispering, but at the end of it, he lets his lips linger close to her neck, letting out a breath then standing up turning. He gives a challenging smile then a seductive look as he shows her the knife, gazing into her eyes for a moment, working the light to make the green affect, then he winks and turns and throws the knife. The challenge being a distraction the whole time. He hand a plan as they watched the knife soar through the air, Mark quickly turns an grabs her face gently, his left hand on the side of her neck and his finger wrap around to the back slightly and his other hand upon her cheek, his middle and index finger touching her hairline the pinky finger and ring finger touching the bottom of her jaw bone. His thumb right below her left eye. This all happens quickly as he kisses her, wondering if she will kiss back, he holds the kiss as long as she will, his soft lips hitting her. Gently locking one of her lips between his, his head tilted a little. Giving an even gentiler kiss on her lips than her did on her hand. Mark thought with a smile in his head. Maybe she will fold for now and kiss back. All he could do was hope.

I tried to persuade myself to not give in to the kiss. I tried not to let myself get in over my head, but the moment his lips touched my neck, I seemed to have given in. The touch sent chills down my back and to the tips of my fingertips. The moment I reached the inside of the first aid room, I took the cloth to my wound and waited on Mark to show up. It gave me enough time to cool down. To regain my composure that I had hidden so well. He never noticed the sigh of relief it was in order to get away from him.

As I watched him walk in, he grabbed a few items from the drawers, all the while my inner voice began to question his skills. I began to wonder if he knew what he was doing. If he knew exactly how to stitch up a wound like this. My eyes watched him intently as he grabbed for some sort of tube of medicine and then goes to the sink. I pick up the tube reading the label, and sat it back down and waited until he returned. He was so mesmorizing to watch as he took the gel to rub onto the skin on and around the wound. I flinch as he does so, turning my head a little bit so he wouldn't see my face grimace. In truth, this was not a facade. The pain was real. As he told me that the pain would go away soon, I had to trust him. After all, going to the coach or someone else about how I got the wound wouldn't fly. So, he was my only hope right now.

The gel began to work. The longer it sat on the wound, the pain that once was there, began to disapate. I turn back to him once he returns, standing right in front of me. He mumbles something I couldn't catch and I make an audible noise in order for him to repeat it. The only response I get is, I'll leave it up to your imaginatin. Wonderful. Another mystery from him. This guy is impossible to deal with. He's only shown one other side to him and then he's back to our little game of who can lose to seduction first. He's good...

The time passes by slowly as I wait for the gel to take effect, and sure enough he begins to start the game again. He places his fingers under my chin in order to get my attention off the spot that he'll be stitching up. "You know... I'm not that easily freaked out by intrique things such as these." STitches are the last of my worries. I've had surgery and repairs done on my hand when I was twelve. That was a hard pill to swallow. This? Easy.

He points my face in the position on his chest, but I do not linger there long. Instead, I glance back and forth. I mainly keep my eyes to stare up into his. I watch the sheer determination that he puts into every stitch. Every single stick of pressure I feel, I want to hold my breath, but I keep myself calm. Cool. Collected. Almost as if I'm just enjoying sitting and doing nothing. Before I know it, he's done when he announces that he's put twenty stitches into my shoulder. It seems like alot, but the girth and length of the blade was enough to make a lasting impression. I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding when he suddenly whispers in my ear after sitting down next to me.

From one moment to the next, I've lost track of what was going on and then his lips are on mine. His hand on my face guiding me to kiss him back. I'm stunned. Completely stunned and utterly dumbfounded. He had tricked me into a kiss. One without permission. One that I had not let him have. A stolen kiss, only this time I would not ask for it back. I lose control of my body for the briefest of moments and I indulge him into the kiss. I push forward a bit to keep the contact until I realize what just happened. Before I realized that I shouldn't be doing this. I had someone already. I suddenly jerk back, placing a hand up to my mouth where his lips were. I sheild myself from him. My head dropping downward.

"That's not fair..." I tell him. Something in my voice isn't normal. Can he tell? I feel as though it was because I had actually expected it that freaked me out. I knew he was close to kissing me so many other times, that I thought he would keep playing. Keep teasing. Our game was about teasing. Pushing one to the edge. And he just made me fall over the ledge. "the last time someone tried to kiss me without my say so, got slapped."

I tell him with urgency and a stern voice. I don't want to scare him away from me, but he has to know that I'm not used to all of this. That my story behind why stolen kisses are harmful to me. It's something that really bothers me and he just took advantage of it. Should I really be mad though? I pushed our game to continue. It was bound to happen. He's not Jins. He won't be like him. He is different.... right? Someone help me figure this out.

"Sorry... that was my fault." I say to him. Quick to apologize. I suddenly stand up from the table and walk over to the cabinet. Even though he stitched me up, I still feel this pang of anger wanting to arise in me. Opening the cabinet, I grab for some gauze and a rolled gauze so that I can cover the work he just did. "Thank you for stitching me up... Maybe, I should go..."

Nerves begin to well up in me for reasons that I can't figure out. I fumble with the gauze and quickly realize that in order to rewrap my shoulder, I was going to need help. There was only one person though I trusted with this and it was Mark. Telling him about the target practice was dangerous enough if anyone found out, but he was genuine. I could read him. He wouldn't tell.

"Would you mind, please?" I ask for help. I ask, which is something I normally don't do.

Their lips meet, and for a few seconds, Mark feels her lips locked on his bottom lip, running his left hand through her hair. Even though this was only a few seconds, it felt like years for Mark. For the first time in a long time he felt happy, for himself. Not just because his sisters and his brother was happy, not because he finished something he needed to have done. Because he actually felt like he liked this girl. He lost all sight of the game they were playing. Almost as quick as the kiss started, it was gone... she stood up and says ' that's not fair' Mark could tell there was something wrong with her, something was off. But it hurt him, the look she gave him. He knew that there was someone else. Or he thought he could tell, nodding as she talked. She says something about slapped, but he really wasn't listening anymore. He was in a state of withdraw, none the less, he tried to listen to her. But he felt like coming today was a mistake he wishes he could take back. Or that he just would have ignored the girl like an right minded career would have. ' Its a game... right... a game... one you lost too Mr. Antony.' Mark thought to himself, disappointed.

Just as Mark reenters his public mind set, pushing to the side what just happened. Or he tried to. She continues to talk asking for my help to cover the wound. Instead of answering, Mark walked over, staying as far away as he could, not looking into her eyes or at her face this time. Just at her shoulder, taking the gauze out of her hand without looking. Slowly unwrapping it. Softly he sets the strip of gauze on her wound and wraps it, tightly. Softly patting it as her cuts it with some surgical scissors. Mark sighed and bring one hand away from her shoulder, to his forehead. 'Idiot, you forgot to put a pad just in case it opened again'. He starts to unwrap it. His hands kinda shaky and he is kind of nervous. Without looking into her face or anywhere near it, he turns to a first aid kit that's sitting out and takes out a pad and starts to open it. But the smoothness he had before was gone. His mind was somewhere else. Maybe this really did hurt him. No it did and he knew it did. He lost at the game he knew he could win. But she played well. Its a game, he played and you cant always win.

As he struggled to open the package of the pad he finally rips it open, uncontrolled the pad drops to the table and Mark looking at it quickly puts his hand to his head and pushes his hair back with his eyes closed sighing as he shakes his head. Picking it up and placing it on her wound. Starting to re wrap it. The longer he is around her, the more shaky he gets. ' Stop it, calm down, its just a girl. Some random girl, your barley know her and she knows a little bit about you, just get over it' everything Mark thinks is obvious to her. He cant help it. He just is unable to hide any of his emotions. Above all showing in his movements was the sadness that followed the rejection. To add insult to injury, she kissed back before she pushed it away. He eyes his work, trying to stay focus. Finally getting it wrapped right, he takes some medical tape and tapes the gauze down. Reluctantly he speaks " So um, no throwing with this arm for about a week... The stitches will need to come out in about 2-3 weeks.... um, uh," he is fumbling on his words. This is so unusual for Mark. Words were his domain, he knew how to use them in every way, but with her, after what just happened, he was out of the game. For now at least. "2-3 weeks... Then come here, and tell them that you saw another teacher about someone miss throwing a knife and it hitting you, so they stitched it up, and now you need them out." Mark looked once into her eyes, all his emotions available for her to read., after the glance up he starts to put things away. He told her to come see someone else other than him to take them out. Because at the moment, he didn't wanna see her more than he had to. She just threw him off his game. But the thing is, he did wanna see her. But she probably had someone else. Running into her if she was with him would spark jealously an emotion Mark has never shown. Keeping his eyes, down " No more swords for 2 weeks. No um, yeah any of the uh, fighting, and um ya know that stuff. To releave a bit of stress from the situation he pops his knuckles. His breath was quiet but unsteady. His voice was shaky. Taking another look at his work to make sure he didn't do anything wrong. Looking it over, it all looked fine to him, and her grabbed the shoulder strap for her blouse and put it over the wound and looked at her face, not into her eyes, but at her face. Giving a small tight smile, one not showing happiness or any happy thoughts, it was a pathetic attempt at showing genuine happiness that was not there, giving a small nod, three times. Mark turned from her, walking away, all the swagger in his walk gone. Mark was just acting as a normal person would. Or he tried to. He didn't wanna seem weak, he walks over to his shirt and puts it on. The knife he threw, stuck into the left door to the outside of the gym. Kyanite can see him as he slides on the shirt, and if she says nothing, he walks out the door, pulling out the knife taking it with him, as he walks out the door. The last thing going through his mind, ' STOP BEING SUCH A BABY, SUCK IT UP. ITS JUST A GIRL!' Followed by ' Not just any girl'. His mind fighting with his emotions.

The cold air hitting him instantly making him tense up. The cold and the emotions get to him. He feels childish, but he had to get away from this place, for now at least. He begins running. Ignoring everything. Heading back to his house. But instead of going to his house, he sneaks off into the woods, going deep into them to his spot where he usually go instead of training if he didn't feel like going that day. In a small clearing in the woods, where the flowers and grass grew high. Peace and serenity fell over Mark. Until his mind wondered back to the girl. Girls, Mark really never kept one really, because usually being from here meant they were crazy or very... kinky. It's not Marks type. But Kyanite felt a little different than all the girls and it hurt Mark. Thinking deeply about this, every second beat. It felt as if someone was jamming a knife deeper into his hear. For the first time in a long time, Mark would never tell anyone, but he shed a single tear. Sitting in the woods for a long time before heading home.[/blockquote]
