Looking around the district, my eyes came to rest on the bakery. I entered the building and found the line up really long. For some reason, there were two girls whom I recognized, along with a guy I didn't really recognize. They seemed to be in an argument and after listening, I realized that they were fighting over the guy. Really? I sighed and rolled my eyes. This was not the place for a cat fight. Take it outside ladies. I ordered some bread, paid, and walked out before hearing my name and I looked over. "I don't think you want to play the same game for too long. It's going to come back and bite you in the ass. Why do you have to mess with us, anyways? Can't you find someone else to victimize - I mean, flirt with? I hear Jay Whitefeather's available." Oh god, why was I getting dragged into this? I already had Nikki and Delaney to deal with, now this.

I approached the three of them, curiosity getting the better of me. "Hello, I heard my name and was wondering how on earth I managed to get pulled into this" I said, not meaning to sound too blunt but that was the only way I could really ask. Normally, I didn't bother with people but the fact that I'd heard Madison talk like that to Marlie it pissed me off and the fact that I'd been pulled into the conversation also pissed me off. "What on earth is this all about anyways?" I asked, looking at the three of them I felt bad for the guy whom was obviously Marlie's boyfriend.

I hope that this calms down the fight, and impresses Jay. I turn my head in such a way that only Jay can see me wink at him. I always get what I want

The minute Jay showed up, Madison seemed to have developed a whole new attitude.

"Listen, Marlie. I think I may have gone a little to far. I am...s-sorry for what just happened. You know I love you. And Rex, um, stay with Marlie. You're cute together."

Marlie was certainly not expecting an apology from Madison anytime soon, considering she was just calling her a rats-nest a moment ago. Though it wasn't hard to keep up the strong, daring facade, it was definitely harder to admit that Madison's words stung. Rex had spent the last week complimenting her on her looks, making her feel so much better about herself, and just one little insult sent her spirits sinking into the toilet again. Couldn't she just go a single day without someone criticizing her? Madison's sudden change of heart made her suspicious. Was she really sorry?

Lifting her gaze towards Madison, she readied herself to apologize back. "I'm-," she started, cutting herself off when she saw Madison turn and wink at Jay. That little bitch. Of course she's not sorry. Marlie rolled back her shoulders, loosening the tension in her muscles. Drawing in a sharp breath, she painted a fake smile on her face. "I accept your apology."

There was no way she was apologizing to Madison. She was turning the tables on Marlie, trying to make her look like the bad guy. Marlie was not bad in any way. Sure, she had dragged some other guy into this conversation, but she wasn't going to stand back and let Jay take the fall.

Marlie turned, shooting Rex a look that said, We're staying put.

Damn was this girl a piece of art or what. Of course Jay Weatherfeather or whatever his name is came into the situation, all that was running through my head were cries to get the hell out of here with my bread (I kind of wanted my loaf back to be honest) and my girlfriend in one piece. Of course I have to thank Jay for saving us from a cat fight between two girls. Madison apologized and I just raised my eyebrows. She wasn't serious. She was only saying that to get on Jay's good side. At least she was trying to get on his good side. That didn't really work with me. I was surprised that Madison gave up that quickly because she seemed like someone who just wouldn't even think about giving up something. I was grateful she did though.

I couldn't help but smile as Marlie caught Madison's bluff. I wondered if she noticed that Marlie was totally bluffing as well. If she was the Marlie I knew, Marlie wasn't going to forgive her that easily. Marlie probably didn't even think about considering her apology, fake or not. Grabbing her hand and rasing my eyebrows at her as if to ask her what was going on. All I can-me here to do was get some bread but I ended up in the middle of a face off. Marlie gave me a look and I rolled my eyes. Why did we have to stay? I figured Marlie felt bad for pulling a new guy into this. So I was going to stay by Marlie, because that's the right thing to do.

Looking at this boy I didn't really recognize, I spoke up before anyone else could. "Just a huge misunderstanding." I said with a look that should be translated as get the hell out.

He couldn't believe he was being dragged into this but he supposed this was what he got for coming to the bakers. "Listen, Marlie. I think I may have gone a little to far. I am...s-sorry for what just happened. You know I love you. And Rex, um, stay with Marlie. You're cute together." Madison giving up? it was unheard of. He was tempted to smile until he saw her wink at him. Of course, I'm her next target He thought. He looked at the guy, Rex, and shot him a helpless expression. Help me his eyes said. Rex spoke "Just a big misunderstanding" He said. Jay nodded. "With that, I think I'm gonna head. I've gotta meet up with Nikki. See you guys around" he said, turning to leave. He wasn't sure if he'd be allowed to leave though, seeing as Madison probably wasn't done with him yet. He didn't actually have a meeting with Nikki, he just needed an excuse to get the hell out of there.

Once Jay starts to walk off I don't hesitate to try and get him to stay. "Wait Jay! I figured since this feud is all over, the four of us could all hang out. You can cancel your meeting. We could be friends," I put emphasis on the last word. Walking up by Marlie, I wrap my right arm around her and give her a friendly smile. "Marlie and I would love to hang out with you."

Every word that comes out of my mouth is bologna and everyone knows it. But, If I keep working, I can make them think I'm sincere. Plus, people are starting to stop staring. Just keep up the act
