"There's a light on in the attic, though the house is dark and shuttered..."
This is the story of the taxidermist. The name of the taxidermist doesn't matter yet, but keep in mind that he's quite a reputable taxidermist; the quality of his work is top-notch and unparalleled, never mind that he's most likely the only taxidermist in District Three.
The taxidermist isn't that young, nor is he too old. The taxidermy business has been in his family for years now, and soon it will be time for the taxidermist to pass on the trade to his children... Nobody knows if he's looking forward to that time. They think he might be, because wouldn't he then be preparing to join his darling wife in the grave?
The taxidermist has a family. It's the normal kind of family with three children who remember their late mother as a sweet and pretty woman who adores her husband. It's the kind of family where the children obediently help their father in the taxidermy business, run off and make friends and do all the things that are normal and right in the district. Of course, there is nothing wrong with this perfect family.
And nobody guesses the taxidermist's secret. Nobody knows that under the taxidermist's house is another house, larger with pristine furniture and beautifully decorated walls - a doll's house. His doll's house. Nobody knows the inhabitants of the dollhouse were once alive and human. That they still are.
You're never just a guest in the Stine house.

I've always had aspirations of being a dancer, those dreams even going back to when I was as young as four. I still do actually, it's my way of speaking. I get to express myself, both my joys and my sorrows, along with my frustrations. I used to dance to tell my stories, the fluid movements of my body painting a picture that was as beautiful as it was descriptive. Every spin, every toe point, every single one of my movements was a part of my story and it was special to me. Something as missing though, I felt empty, I didn't have anyone to share it with, no one to talk to about...anything. I wanted that one person I could talk to about anything for real, I wanted to have sleepovers with her, and do all those cute girly things.
I was always that cute, little girl with the flaming red hair that would more often than not be the one to observe the conversation rather than join in. I was happy with my life, aside from having no one to call a friend; I wanted for nothing else. Little did I know that I'd no longer need a friend when I met the Stines... what I didn't know was that the cost of having that friend would be my freedom. I no longer could dance for myself, it was always at the bidding of another, always for her! This wasn't what I thought having a friend would be like. I thought I wanted a friend...but now...now I don't know, cause I'm a prisoner in my own body.

My father would carry me to bed when I fell asleep on the couch, and in his warm embrace he would whisper "You are strong, Cadman. It's in your name." Then he would set me in my bed, and kiss my forehead and walk away. I wish I could live to his expectations, I wish I could be strong. But how can one be strong when they are not in control. I've been this sick kid's toy for almost two years. I was angry, because I wasn't going to let these sickos keep me in their demented reality. So I fought back, to make my father proud, to be strong. But as time went by I realized escape was futile. The strength was seeped from me every time the drug that paralyzed me was injected. I became weak, giving in to these demented games. I am the shell of the boy my father lost, no longer strong or resilient. I have accepeted my current position, my only hope is that some day I will be strong again.
My name may be Cadman, but I am not strong. I am a toy.

She's sort of a compulsive girl, she was once full of energy and ready to take on the world, but since being taken captive she's noticeably changed. She had much less energy, and her will to fight has long since diminished. She would much rather just let herself be played with then struggle fruitlessly to escape. Even when she's alone and able to talk to her fellow captives she rarely speaks, she would rather stare off into the void that is her imagination. That's the only place she can be happy now, the feigned happiness the is forced to show when she's played with makes it all that more painful for her. It's gotten to the point where she doesn't really even know what true happiness is, is it the happiness she's forced to have when she's played with or is it something else entirely.

He has a pale, restless face that's alive with vexation practically 24/7. His thick eyebrows are typically slanted down towards his piercing, predatory, pale green eyes, like he's contemplating something frustrating. Damien's dark hair is untidy, but not in that cute, boyish way - in a grungy way that looks like he rolled right out of the woods. Damien is tall with a lean frame, and he carries his lean frame with a panther-like grace.
Damien is absolutely malevolent. There is no world that can describe him better. He hates to alleviate his dear puppets, but he feels a strange relationship with them, like he loves them in a sick, twisted way. Regardless of any soft feelings, Damien shuts them out, pretends he loves nothing, no one. Of course he is not as unfeeling as he seems - every human feels, even the ones like Damien who refuses to let it show.

No one told me that I would be forced to become a doll for someone else to play with. I used to be a normal person until I made a small mistake which ended me up here, my knees and elbows and hands and feet stitched and attached to cables, a puppet. I have no control over my life anymore and that terrifies me. I want to be able to determine my own path, not the path of some puppet master who manipulates my body into doing whatever he wants. I must lie quietly, the sedatives working through my blood before the puppet masters come out to play, putting me through my paces and testing how far I can stretch. I am a human puppet like I would see sometimes as a child except this is real, I can't escape this. I can't even leave the house that much, the stitches on my body would be too noticeable and to top it off, I feel so alone. To keep myself entertained, I write in a diary, kept hidden and only written in when the puppet masters are asleep of course, but other than that, there isn't a lot I have a choice in. At least the accommodations are pretty nice.

Insanity was never far from her. Even when she was free, she radiated a kind of delicacy that made her parents lock her inside for the majority of the day, her own kind of Rapunzel until she turned twelve. She was a daydreamer, a girl who got lost in her thoughts too much for her own good, which was why they were so nervous when they first sent her to the factory to work. It proved to be good for her, though, the order of things helping her sort out her thoughts. (too many. they spin and spin and spin until i'm dizzy.) Despite her slight instability she demonstrated a fantastic intelligence, leading many to wonder if it was perhaps her intelligence that made her... different. After her kidnapping, she sank farther into herself. Often she rambles about stars, but occasionally she will spout things that don't seem to make sense, a series of numbers or words so complex a scholar would be impressed. (i'm smart but i'm sad. i'm smart because i'm sad?)

Sometimes she's not in the game and lets them 'play amongst themselves'. Sometimes Samara lies them down carefully and makes slow, precise incisions in their skin in a game of surgery. But if she can only be healed herself, perhaps Samara's games will take a lighter turn.

Since I was born I knew that I was different from the others. There is a condition I have that makes me look strange compared to the others. They all have brown, blonde or brunette hair whereas mine is so white that you wouldn't tell if I had been out in the heavy snow of winter. My face is also rather pale and stands out due to me having pure white eyebrows and eyelashes. It has always made me the subject of ridicule within the district and I wanted to get away from them all. As I got older I would dare to go into the woods to escape. The best time was at winter because I felt at home among the snow that made me seem to glisten as it fell on me.
I was escaping into the woods one day 2 years ago when I was found by someone else, a man. He said he wanted to help me and that he had children that I could be friends with. I was so foolish to think that it was meant as an innocent thing. Next thing I knew I was a human puppet. My owner plays with me often, calling me her snow doll. At first I hated it here, no control over my life anymore but now I have been here so long I am starting to enjoy the idea of being admired instead of ridiculed. There are still times though where I wish I could feel the real snow fall on my skin again.

This is the dollhouse/puppeteer plot brought to you by Kiah and Anzie. Thank you so much for taking the time to look at our plot <3 We're willing to add more slots for puppets, and a limit of two more puppeteers into the family to prevent the puppet/puppeteer ratio from being too close. We only gave limited prompts because you guys are far more creative than either of us, so~ c:
Note that when you are a puppet playing with your puppeteer, you will have been drugged with a paralysis-inducing drug and therefore most of your movements will be dictated by your puppeteer. Your thoughts, however, are your own.
Also, yes, the puppets can interact with one another. It can be one of two choices: it'll be as though the puppeteer, who doesn't necessarily have to be in the thread is playing with them. So you don't technically need the puppeteer around, if this is your choice of play. The second kind of interaction is when the puppeteer is tired of playing with their dolls and lock them up, where however they were being kept limp and paralyzed fades away and they can speak with each other from their separate cages and all.
Several plotlines may be introduced somewhere down the road.
Um, one more thing, thenonexistent blurbs given above are not necessarily the ones you have to use. The character depicted there can be modified if you feel you have a better idea.
