Appearance

    Riker Talloway is approximately five foot five and weighs a total of 140 pounds. His skin is a nicely tanned coloration with an abundance of freckles on his arms and back. As for his overall appearance he has very large muscles, derived from him living in a work shop with his adoptive father and having it to lift all the heavy machines. His hair is a very rich dark chocolate brown color which match his also brown eyes. Even though in height he is relatively small for some reason he has quite large hands and feet.

    However, those abnormally large features are not his only physical flaws. The most notable flaws about him are the numerous scars on his back and stomach. Most caused from dangerous activity involved with a gang currently wanted dead by the Capitol, however, the Capitol wants all gangs dead of course. Going back to the scars, the most noticeable of them all is a large slash looking one located just underneath his left shoulder. However, most people don't know about any of these since he isn't one to take off his shirt for attention.

Personality

    Riker has a very odd and complex personality all beginning with his distrust of people. Ever since the age of nine when his parents were murdered Riker has trusted absolutely no one except his adoptive father. His distrust is so bad that he is never seen talking to anyone accept people he is making deals with. Or of course unless he is talking with a gang to do some work for them. On the few days he actually decides not to ditch school he is always in the back of the class where he can stay the furthest away from people. As previously mentioned the only person he will trust in talking to is his adoptive father since he is the closest thing to a family he has.

    Even though he doesn't trust people Riker has the odd impulse to be the center of attention. Most people like him who stay to the edges of crowds wouldn't want people whispering about them. However, they aren't Riker, instead he enjoys to hear the muffled words about him as he walks through a crowd. It is also this trait along with his distrust of people that he spends many days locked up in the shop his father runs. His favorite thing to do in the shop is lifting anything heavy which explains why he has such massive muscles. Almost needless to say he enjoys having such large muscles because they grab everyone's attention.

    Last of all is his almost feral survival instinct. No matter what the situation he interprets it as a near death experience and if you mess up you are dead. However, having this instinct does have its advantages of course, especially for his father. What is ment by this is that since Riker constantly finds himself doing multiple tasks for multiple gangs he is able to survive a lot of dangerous missions. Including the very mission that gave him his awful jaggedly slashed scar.

History

    During RIker's first eight years of life things were generally good. His parents both had secure jobs along with secure incomes. He lived within a small home with no heater but it was better than the streets. The only downside to this was that he was incredibly lonely. His parents would always be working and he had no other siblings to play with leaving him utterly alone. Yet he didn't mind it, he was safe, alive, well fed, and had a roof over his head. However, this did not last forever.

    When he was nine years old his father had gotten himself mixed up into some business with a gang. His father was suppose to give the gang something by a certain day, what it was Riker will probably never know. Sadly his father failed to give the gang what they desired by the turn in date. Enraged by this they broke into Riker's house shooting and killing both his mother and father. Riker was left emotionally scarred and an orphan at such a young age.

    The orphanage he was delivered to by the authorities was awful. The owner was cruel and abusive who used the orphans basically as slaves to do work for him. However, Riker's stay there was brief when an older couple arrived one day and the second the woman say Riker she was sold. They adopted him right away and took him away to his brand new home, a small machinery work shop. They didn't live on the working levels of the shop but instead in the small attic that had a small bathroom, kitchen, a small double bed for the couple, and a small sleeping mat area for their new child. It wasn't much at all but it was way better than the orphanage so Riker accepted it as his home.

    His life finally seemed to be looking up again with this new family when tragedy struck again. This time on the very woman who chose to safe him from the filth of the orphanage. She had grown very ill and the money they had earned from the work shop just wasn't enough to get her a room in the hospital. Riker was devastated but he wouldn't let her go so easily, so he made an impossible choice. Now age fifteen he went to the black market and sought out one of the few gangs in the district. Once there it didn't take him long to find one, however, the hard part was still ahead. He told the gang he needed money and was willing to do some work for them. They initially laughed but one of them decided to give Riker a job. Since Riker was short he was faster and more agile than them so he would be able to avoid getting caught in a chase. So the job they gave him was to a box of necklaces from a nearby stand in the market. It felt wrong but Riker knew he had to save his adoptive mother so he accepted the job. He easily stole the box, however, as he was running he didn't see the shop owner from which he stole the box coming around a corner with a knife. The knife slashed down his left shoulder causing Riker to scream and bleed heavily. However, he kept running even with a bleeding arm. When the gang members say Riker they were shocked at his wound and felt guilty for doing this to him so they gave him the money along with stitching the wound for him. With his newly stitched arm and good amount of money Riker returned home to the shop in triumph and excitement. However, what he discovered left him dumbfounded and defeated; his mother had died while he was gone. Riker then decided to hide the money from his father and keep it for himself for future use. Then from that day on he secretly continued working for the gangs to earn some extra money along with working out in the gym. What the saved up money will be for, Riker doesn't know yet however he wants it to be for something spectacular. Yet the most prominent thing deprived from his mothers death is his urge to always lift heavy objects when sad or angry. Since he isn't the happiest kid in the district he tends to lift quite a lot which truly gave rise to his large muscles.
