Roxie Vestailles District 6 (Finished)

    When life has gone to shit might as well drink the days away. My name is Roxie Vestailles, I am seventeen years old and was born into a wealthy scientist's family. All my genius dad wanted me to do was follow in his footsteps and become a great thinker like him. However, that just isn't my style in fact I do rather poor in school, which here in district six and especially in my family is shameful. Yet how do you expect a girl to react towards school when her dad sets such high standards for you that you know you will never reach them. There was a time I tried my hardest to be the little smart girl but every time I would fall short and disappoint him so eventually I gave up. In fact, I gave up on most things, school, work, and I even shut out part of my family, aka anyone on my father's side.

    The only people I care about are my younger brothers, Vincent and Raider, my younger sister, Salone, and my mother, Morriah. My mom unlike my dad just wants me to be happy and follow my own path in life, however, there are of course some decisions of mine she disagrees with. As for my brothers, they both love pranking everyone in the family and in a way I really like it since it lightens the usually tense mood between my dad and myself. Lastly is my little Salone, for her I would move heaven and Earth to make her happy since she is as innocent as they come. She never breaks the rules and she is always kind to anyone even complete strangers. The reason though I love her so much is she is always there when I am at my lowest points and she helps return me to the light. In a way, I wish I could be like her but I know I can't due to my favorite "hobby."

    I'm sure you are wondering what my "hobby" is so if you haven't figured it out yet I will just save you the pity. When it comes down to the bottom line, I have a lot of money and my life is stressful so to cope I drink. In fact, I that is an understatement I am a full blown alcoholic. You see I hate stress and my body just can't handle it and since my dad was nothing but a stress maker I turned to drinking for help. At first when I drank I would be so smashed I couldn't even move since if I did I risked killing myself. However, over the years I have sharpened my skills and senses so that even when I am completely intoxicated I can walk around, not very well of course though but at least I can. Of course my parents tried to stop it by removing it from my life but after I failed a suicide attempt they returned it to me and I still have it today.

    Most people can't stand to argue with me for even five minutes since I am about as stubborn as it gets. For example my mother says I have light brown hair and nice body. Yet I know my hair is dark brown and that I am a little larger than normal due to my drinking weight. Another example was how my dad tried to tell me how weak I was then I punched him square in the chin knocking him out. When he came to needless to say he was pissed but he never questioned the strength from my muscles again. I guess while we are talking about my muscles and hair I should give you the whole run down of who exactly I am.

    Well like I mentioned I have dark brown hair naturally but sometimes I will dye streaks of it blonde since I love the color curls it creates. As for my eyes my father persists they are light brown while my mother states they are grey but in my opinion they are a blend of both. As for my skin color it is pretty light since my father refuses to let me leave the house since I drink so much and would make a fool of him. Also I am about six feet tall and weigh around a hundred and fifty pounds. Lastly, as for my clothes I typically where a jean sweatshirt with a white and black striped under shirt then for my pants and shoes I wear, black skinny jeans and black flats. However, for the reaping my parents particularly my dad makes me wear a long light blue ball gown and long white heels.

    Since we have delved into what the heck am I, I might as well tell you what I am like. Besides being a stubborn bitch according to good old papa I am typically considered an ass by everyone since I am brutally honest and harsh. Whenever someone asks me if they look good they are just dealing themselves a death card since I answer very matter of factually. Like one time when my mom asked how a dress made her look and I told her that it was awful compared to her eyes and it looked like she was imploded in it. Its not that I am trying to be a jerk its just why lie? I mean this whole world is based off of bull crap lies! Especially the Hunger Games, they claim it was because of a rebellion and maybe it was awhile ago but now its obviously just a technique the Capitol use to control and contain the districts.

    Now in case you haven't been able to tell yet I am incredibly... independent and absolutely hate being told what to do. No matter what my dad suggests to me even if he is right I will always try to do the opposite of it. Now it may seem like I hate my dad, but I don't I just highly disagree with his parenting style. He is suppose to encourage and help his kids not push them towards things they can never do and then discipline them when they don't do it. So yes underneath this bitch's skin is a girl who just wants a dad who cares more about her than her intelligence, and a girl who loves her family. Now if you tell a single soul about that especially my dad you are dead and I always keep promises got it? Good now get lost there is nothing more to see here.
