Crowd controll (all in the pk training plot, Sahalie, Brody)

So today's the day apparently. The big final that'll determine who's a peacekeeper, and who's waisted their time here. For some reason Vy never pictured herself getting to this day, let alone the idea of her actually passing. The chances now? Well she's not quite sure. Guess it depends on what they're about to be dealt. But even from day one she predicted she'd never make it this far. And when all of that trouble occurred? She was certain of it. This is sort of accomplishment in it's self, no matter what today's outcome holds. So she's particularly on time, waking up early to shower in an empty female locker room where no troubles are to be run into. Breakfast nearly seconds after the Cafeteria opens, and straight to the field after getting suited. Seems like she's the only girl up this early with the boys as usual, though the gear prevents her from truly knowing that.

No one is talking, it's sort of eerie. White uniforms sprawled out mainly by themselves, a couple of groups lingering together though still remaining silent. Must be a really intense day. Unsure what else to do, she follows the pack's lead with staying kept to herself. Also because her eyesight won't allow for her to spot out the one's that she knows. Commotion occurs in no time though once the Higher Ranks join them outside, and suddenly it's like everyone comes to life as they scurry into an orderly squad. This is it. The big finish. What are they going to be faced with to prove themselves once and for all?

Just like before it grows completely quiet as they await for instructions. Are the other Cadets holding their breath as well? A heavy sigh swirling through gear as the situation is vocalized? Perhaps, though there's no way of telling. Relief must be consuming them all as a real life team crowd control is told to be their last test. That doesn't sound too bad. There must be more up their sleeves, but for now that's actually a reasonable task. This gives Vy the slightest hope that there's still even a chance for her. Despite not knowing her own decision if she'd become a Peacekeeper or not, it'd be nice to know that the option's hers. Today, she will be giving her all.

Thewhite peace keeper vans that are widely known and feared throughout the districts, especially by those on the wrong side of the law, glisten in the sun as the speed down the road toward my home town.
Each van holds 9 recruits or peace keepers.
To say that I'm not excited would be a lie. I can feel my heart beating against the thin vest underneath my uniform. I've learned what a difference this piece of armor can make and in a riot I need to be covered from every angle.
The anticipation of what's to come is almost unbearable and leaves me slightly short breathed before we even leave the vans.
I cast a look at Vy, who's sitting opposite of me and seems quite excited as well.
I wink at her. Finally that last test session is here.

Once we're jumping from their open doors and are spreading out at all corners of the market the sight of the mass of people that are running around like somebody dumped a bucket ful of hornets in their middle is a little overwhelming.
For a moment I try to figure out who is who in the crowd and why they are running or fighting. Some are struggling over something, others pushing their way through the crowd.
I only hope neither my father nor Kyanote have decided to go shopping today.

Then the first shot is fired making me jump to full attention before I line up with the other cadets and receive the order over our head sets in our helmets to "Controll the crowd and arrest anybody with a weapon or who is resiting your orders. Move in now."
My heart picks up it's pace until I start sweating heavily but move forward in one straight line with the others wondering where to start.

Over speakers we hear the order. "All citizens in the market square, calm down and sit down immediately. Anybody resisting Panems Peace Keepers will be arrested."

Keeping the peace. The freedom to make their own choices. Each one of the men and women in the van heading to the location is here for a reason. A simple mission to control the public, but being a peacekeeper is no simple task. It's going to be tough and hard and it won't just be a simple routine as nothing is routine for the capital's soldiers. It's going to end up putting some of these cadets to their breaking points. It is without a doubt, a mission for failure, right? The man sitting with his fellow cadets barely even moves. His helmet placed neatly in his lap as he stares off into the van at the other cadets. His eyes sweeping over every inch of the van. Right now, this was the calm before the storm. This was going to be the final test. Something to put him to the test to see if he was going to be able to handle this path in his life.

Would he pass?

His vision barely passes over to Matthew who glaces at him, but he pays not a moment of attention to him. Mentally, he was preparing himself and fussing over the boyfriend of his sister wasn't going to do anything if he got worked up about him. Instead, he listened to the task that his superior was giving. When they were released from the van, Jeran was quick to put the helmet on, appearing to the crowd as one of those capitalite robots in white. A moment of pride washes over him as he keeps a straight stature.

The people in two acted as though nothing was irregular for them being there. Afterall, district two was the main breeding ground for peacekeepers. A lot of the people in two had high hopes to become one if they washed out of volunteering for the games. Through the flood of people, the eyes behind the visor seems to be searching for something, or someone. His heads readied at the gun on his hip and he appeared just as any other well trained officer under the helmet. To be treated as such was also suppose to be respected as the civilians noted him and his fellow cadets in training.

Something seems to spook the crowd immediately and then shots ring out alerting Jeran to the mischief that is beginning. "Control the crowd and arrest anybody with a weapon or who is resisting your orders. Move in now."

To disobey direct orders would be thought to be breaking the laws of the capital. So, Jeran had his orders and so did every other cadet in this brigade. The took off into the mess. His steady hand stopping several in the process telling them to remain calm and to quickly exit through the nearest alleys and anyway to escape unharmed, but the chaos began to get worse no matter what he tried. Then more gunshots rang out. A man or two dropped to the ground and Jeran halted in his step to look at the nearest man who'd been gunned down. The way he had fallen and where sent his vision directing toward the opposite direction. Looking for the height of where the bullet had shot, he was sure it wasn't no kid that was doing this. Either a tall woman or semi tall man. He let his feet carry him into the mob of people, still shouting for them to remain calm until something else began to make the situation worse.

Smoke. Every single bit of the area around him was becoming engulfed in smoke. A few people began to choke on it, falling over to their knees to get air but he knew he had to do something. Immediately, he began to gather the people he could.

"Hold on to the person in front of you and follow as close as you can. I'll get you to safety!" He claimed, his voice assertive and calm. Being the calm in the middle of the chaos is what it was all about. Remain calm and be a leader. "This way... keep ahold of the person in front of you. LET'S GO!"

"Gala.. there's plenty of time to look for other baby things. I don't have to get everything in one trip. Besides, I don't even know if it's a girl or boy..." I tell her as we come into the marketplace for some shopping. I have no intentions of buying anything today, but browsing with Gala has to happen. With the news finally expressed to her with strick instructions to keep it all 'hush-hush' I can finally extend my fears and excitements with someone other than just Matthew and Vy. Mainly because those two are away at the academy during the week. By now, the smile on Gala's face still hadn't came off. I shake my head because I didn't think that she'd be this excited.

"Let's go get something to eat?" I ask and just as I place my hand on her back to point her in the right direction, something rings out among the crowd and screams begin to errupt immediately. Something isnt' right. The people began to bump into me, and I turn quickly to find Gala, but she's already gone in the sea of people.

"Move it. Get out there's a gunman somewhere. Someone just got shot. RUN!" Someone beside me began to shove into me, pushing me further from the last place I saw Gala. Then, in just one split second, her image is visible on the ground before another round of people come and start shoving against me to push me away from the shots that are close to me. I can hear it like it was right beside me. Another shot rings out and the people around me and I duck to get out of the line of fire but the man just three feet away from me drops with blood seeping out on his clothes.

"Oh my god..."

Orders were given, and pretty basic ones at that. Control the crowd and evacuate them to safety. Nothing about playing hero and going after the causer himself. Instinctively that's the goal that comes into mind as she can easily tell where the threat's coming from given the general direction everyone's aiming for, away from the gun fires. Even if it's a scattered mess similar to an animal stampede, the center location it quite obvious even without the erupting noise from each shot. Go against the current and she'll soon enough come to face with the problem. Is that what she's supposed to do though? Sure she may of been daydreaming the majority of the time the classes weren't physical, but she sort of payed attention. Number one rule, follow instructions.

Further in the crowd only gets more stuffed with people desperately attempting to get anywhere but here. "Calm down and follow the person in front of you!" Vy tries instruct through the very loud, anxious hustle of a crowd. No one's interested in listening as their main objectives is getting themselves to safety. A few caring for their loved ones and small children, though still not using rational thinking to get through this. Just shove through everyone as if they're not rushing to same exact place. It's when the true faces of citizens come out, willing to push anyone to the floor in order to get by. Youngsters and the more petite curled up on the floor, doing their best to protect their mere bodies from getting trampled over. A new mission comes to mind.

The next person Vy catches purposely throwing someone to the ground so he can get by gets a firm hand on his shoulder to halt him. "Slow the hell down and follow the person in front of you, nicely!" She yells in his face before letting him continue on with his travel. Of course he doesn't listen in the slightest as she can clearly spot from her peripheral view, him shoving away everyone in his path like it's a race. Not the time to give someone a lesson on manners though. Her focus goes to the little boy, no older then seven, that was left on the pavement after all this. Hands covering his head in attempt to avoid any contact with shoes. As fast as possible she pulls him to his feet, grabbing the first reliable-looking person to cross their way. "Get him to safety." Sort of lost her own manners back at the van, but certainly that's understandable in this case. His hand's linked with hers and in seconds they're completely out of view, away with the mass amount of people. Now to finds more victims upon the floor, and just as thick smoke floods in to effect vision.







Still it never makes sense to Gala on why her only two friends are always telling her to keep these secrets. As if she actually has someone else to tell. If they both already know then who does she have to keep it from? Her sisters? She doesn't even inform them of the basic stuff. Guess the point really should be that they trust her with quite a lot. Then again she wouldn't really know about the secrets they do keep from her, now would she? Like this baby news for instances! How long have they kept that from her? Either way she takes it as happily as any other good news thrown her way. Pleasant stuff never happens anymore, gotta enjoy the rare few. "Yeah, but it's still fun to look." She explains with the return of her normal giggle. Finally, some kind of distraction.

First the offer of getting food comes up, nothing that Gala can be surprised about. Pregnant people are always hungry, aren't they? "Craving anything?" She jokes with another set of chuckles. Another thing about when people make babies, odd desires on what they eat. Good thing she's never been a picky one. "Mkays." She agrees as usual, a giant grin spread across her face as she's simply happy to be out with her friend for a change. Suddenly a large bang silences the peaceful atmosphere, following with an unexpectedly large herd of people charging to get away from the scare.

"Ky?" She questions as loudly as her voice will travel, though it's nearly inexistent in the chaos all around. Blue eyes travel every which way around her to spot the older Brunette, but somehow within seconds they've been separated. "Ky!" She shouts again, starting to scurry in the only liable way she's gone; where ever the crowd is pushing them towards. One misplaced step as her tripping over someone else's shoe, and of course the only thing they do is help her to concrete everyone else is scurrying over. "Ass hole!" She screams as if it's going to make a difference. Trying to grab on to the ankle she's certain swiped her to the floor, make him fall in revenge!

I can hear screaMing and see people running. There's no telling where I'm going or how far away Gala has gotten. All I know is that she's gone. Lost in a sea of people that are trampling over each other. My mind is screaming at me to do the same but I can't make my legs work. My body won't react how I want it to. In a sense I want to go after Gala but where is she going to be?

"Gala? Gala! Where are you?" My voice is nothing but in desperation to find her. That is, until I feel someone picking me up by the collar of my shirt do I get my movements back. I throw myself backwards with my arms to knock the person away from me but the person in question only seems to want to help me get out of this mess. That would be nice except that I can't leave Gala. I have to find her. Being shoved pass people is causing me problems because I see several white dressed people direction places to go. One of the uniformed soldiers pick up a child from the ground and hoist him over their shoulder to save them from this hell. Me on the other hand am not worried about getting out of here. I'm staying for as long as I can. I'm not about to leave my little sister. "Gala!"

"Ma'am, time to get out of here. Go!" A forceful voice interrupts my own train of thought. Distracting me from what I'm doing and where I last saw her.

"Not without my friend. She was being trampled. I can't leave her out here. She's hurt." I'm not worried about anything but finding her so from one moment to the next, I duck under the arms of the man pushing me further away. My fists because my weapon as I push through the sea. People end up cursing me for going the wrong way but I am more than determined to surpass this obstacle. That is until I feel someone barge into me and their feet tangle in my own. One wrong step and I've fallen into some pedestrian who is not even reacting to this scenario. What I do notice is the gun in his hands and immediately I'm shoving my way away him. My hands push hard against him giving myself leverage to get away. Oh my God. He's going to shoot me. He's going to shoot me! Another set of hands grab on to me from behind before I know it. A small scream erupts from me, until I see it's one of those soldiers.

"He's the gunman. Get him! He's got a gun!" I plead. When they don't do anything, I swing as hard as I can to the person holding me. My fist connects to his helmet and glass. Just enough that I see the jerk. His helmet shifts backward with the force of the hit and his hold on me is no more. It's just enough that I'm able to start running before I stumble as I make my escape. Relief floods over me for a mere second when I'm suddenly attacked. I fall hard to my knees. My hands being pulled and bound behind my back with a harsh device in a flash.

"Let me go... Gala is still it there! "

Never before had Jeran felt so much like a leader. Here he was leading a group of people, no relation to himself, to somewhere that was considered a safezone. Even within the thick smog of smoke, he was doing what was instructed of him to do so. With a sense of direction that the smoke couldn't take away, he kept the people straight and ongoing. His shield goes up in front of him, to protect his body from the oncoming rush of people trying to get away fromt he smoke as well. "Stay calm!" He tries to shout, but his voice is drowned out. The people that didn't want to listen to him would have to deal with it but the group of people that are relying on him comes first. "This way..."

The smog of smoke starts to clear. The ground becoming visible once again and as soon as they are out of harm, he points directly into an alleyway and the line of people that seems to connect to his original seven now amassed more than double. Under his helmet, a smile played on his lips. "Do NOT come back to the square." He informs. His initial duty was finished for the time being. Now it was to do the same thing again, but to go back into the mob, he lifted his shield and pushed against the remaining townspeople.

"This way. Go straight. Hit that alleyway." His directions weren't being heard, at least from what he saw. It seemed as though this situation wasn't going to resolve itself and the panicking people seemed to really do a number on the people around them.

"Get out of my frackin way!" A shout catches Jeran's attention enough that he hones in on where the voice is at. Amazingly, he spots the middle aged man quickly, with fist raised and aimed toward a younger man. Just like that, the fist is connected him and the young man drops like a fly. Anger seems to take effect and for a moment, Jeran wondered who would be the one to take care of the situation. His mind lost to his duty for a moment as the older man steps over the guy and takes off in the opposite direction.

"Sir... get back here!" Jeran's shout alerted the guy. With a look of fear, Jeran could see the man was completely lost to where he was at. Orders then began to flood into his comm. Something about helping downed citizens. The problem was, that man needed to be taken down before hurting someone else. Though, his gaze falls upon the young man on the ground. Torn between two choices, he took the one that was orders first. At least in Jeran's mind, he had the image of that bastard. He'd get him later.

"Sir, safety is this way, can you walk?" He asks, bending down to forcefuly pick the guy up. If he couldn't then he wasn't going to worry about it either way. With an affirmative nod of his head, a hand wrapped around the guys back, Jeran helped the injured man out of the foggy haze of smoke lingering.

Thick whiteness clouds the vision from all around like a bad infestation. The truly odd part, the fact that this swirling texture appears so much like the Capitol. Not really providing any other signs despite this pretty, bleach white dancing all around them to initially blind them from everything. And now it's Vy and other Peacekeepers that may very well be doing the tripping. The smoke was upon them without the slightest warning, and now they struggle to see just inches in front of them. Final test, Vy reminds herself over and over as she forces herself to perform just as before. Keeping her focus even more alert as she feels the citizens passing her with more speed and force then seconds ago. Desperate to not only get from the threat, but the threat they can no longer see.

"Stop shoving and following..." Why is she even bothering? No one's listening in the least. Her hands going to slow down any aggressive ones in her path. Still she continues to just go further into it all. Eyes staying trained on the floor she can hardly see, as her arms and loud voice attempts to calm down the ones passing her. At least twice as many tiny figures are curled up on the floor. Slowing down Vy's travel to the initial problem as she lifts any she spots to their feet. During one point she nearly trips over one herself until the tip of her boot gives her just a second of a warning. She's reaching down blindly and pulling the little one up, scrambling to find anyone to take them. Only more combative, selfish civilians go by them.

"Shit..." Vy mutters with the rascal clinging to her uniform. There's no doubt this little person will only get trampled again if she sends them off to get out of here alone. "Alright, come on." She caves as she keeps to the Rugrat close while searching for freedom from this chaos. Not even a few steps she can hear the cry of another one, and follows her ears to form a little collection of trampled kids one after the other. Least they're a lot easier to direct as they stay glued to her until finally out in the open and safety. "Go find your parents." One last order is given as she watches the group of short things run off to the much more peaceful atmosphere of people collecting themselves after all that. No time to waste and she's turning back to do it all over again, hoping to get further with every trip.



Just like that the sweet innocent side of Gala is flipped off like a light switch. That bubbly, happy, go-lucky personality away with the wind, or wherever that bullet flew to. Because now she's all for vengeance, just over someone shoving her down instead of helping her up when they rudely put a leg in her way. Those particular ankles are far gone though, as if she even got a long enough glimpse. Best thing to do now is get out of the walkway, where people could careless over what they step on. Her tiny hands trying to push herself up until a shoe digs into one of them, followed by another pair that meets her back. Rude. She tries to trip them to, though only gets them to tumble for a moment before they're running off further.

No luck getting up and she settles for protecting herself and crawling away to the best of her abilities. That's when someone's lifting her up, and instinctively she's kicking and thrashing at whom ever it is. Without any say she's over their shoulder and that white uniform is easily spotted. There's really no true reason behind why she's still resisting and fighting, but that's exactly what she does. Ramming her fists and feet aimlessly despite the fact she's finally out of that threat of getting trampled any more. "Put me down!" She screams though her voice can hardly be heard even with as loud as she tries to make it. "KY!" The dude's not listening-to no surprise-as he only hauls them off anyways.
