[Day 1] Foil Round 1: Swallow-Birch vs. Moreno

Anything with swords was a weakness to him. Once he lifted it up, there would be no stopping him. That was the main reason why Remo had decided to do the Olympics this time. He knew that something inside him would crack and he could defeat the other person. Maybe it was his gut feeling or the fact that he had killed two people with a different type of sword. Remo was pretty sure he wouldn't be able to kill anyone. Remo had been training his whole life to do well. His hands shake a bit, but he pulls through it and is ready to go.

His mind is racing as he goes and gets ready. He does a bit of a jumping to get his blood pumping and shakes his hands getting rid of the nerves. Remo remembering the time when he killed his brother and told himself he'd never touch any type of sword. At this moment though, he was breaking his promise. He was going to be in front of everyone. Everyone was going to be watching, which made his nerves get worse. He was ready for his opponent. A Birch that is probably well know against a Moreno who are also know for the games. Remo was ready to prove himself and his little brother that he had control.

Remo was now out in front of everyone. He put on his mask to protect his face and looked at his opponent. Remo was getting nervous and weak in the knees. He prepared himself. Remo then grabbed the sword and all of his nerves just disappeared. It was just him, his opponent and their fencing swords. He began not to notice the things around him and only focused on the task at hand. As soon as the match began, Remo went for the lunge right off the bat, trying to get an early lead.

Remo had hit him, making him wobble a bit. He had a smirk on his face already. The only thought running through Remo's head Next time shut it and just keep quiet. Remo was off guard and at that moment, the Birch got him. Remo steadied himself. Remo spoke loud to his opponent, "Sorry Birch, it's time for a Moreno to come back into the picture!" Remo smirked again and lunged at the guy hoping to hit him. His mindset on the sword and the movement of himself. He was ready for the Birch. He was ready to win and prove that District 1 is better than any other career district. The Morenos were the best, even if he didn't agree with the Moreno's way of life.

Remo was already angry enough. The fact that the Birch was talking crap about the family he was adopted into. The Morenos weren't all failures. Remo knew he was a failure at times, but in this he would never fail. He trusted in himself and his weapon. Remo was better than anyone could be with a sword. If he had a real sword, the birch would be dead. Just a corpse lying there on the ground, while Remo laughed at him. He would laugh at everything he could. Remo would destroy anyone who got in his way. His mind was racing back to other games before with the Birch's. His mind racking up as many as he could remember.

He spoke louder, "The Moreno's aren't all failures. We aren't all like Reyes and Jae. Trust me, some of us are scarier than them. At least we made it to the finale, unlike your family." Remo had no good come backs for the Swallow-Birch, but that was close enough. Remo lunged forward again, trying to take out this birch as fast as possible.
