Svana Hope {District Eight} FIN

In life there are two faces to everyone, I choose to show mine

Do not fear the dark sensation that is in your chest, evil is humanity

There are those that bask in the light of the holy and drink from the grail of purity. Then there are those that dwell in the darkness of the damned and drink from the saucer of sacrifice. From the beginning Svana never really seemed to be like the other children. As the years continued to pass this only became more apparent. A trouble maker became too little of a name for Svana for the tragedies that spurred from the shadows around her were more than just troubling. Hatred bred and bled from Svana's heart towards any source of light, everything in her dimension was meant to be drained of its brightness. Not even the efforts of Svana's religious parents could sway her towards their beacon of faith. With every futile attempt they only made the thirst for devastation within Svana grow stronger, thirstier. However no one could have imagined the cold nature Svana would display at the fall of her own cousins. While others mourned and dropped to the ground in sorrow she only watched. Chaos was of her element and every death just fueled her twisted temptations. Although personally Svana felt no anger or distaste towards the twins she only blamed them for their deaths, well Paige at least. The girl had been the one to raise her voice against the slaughter, then she rightfully should have been the one to break down at its peril. 

Back when the sun still graced its warmth across the Hope family and Svana was only the age of five already the family could sense her demonic nature. Broken bones followed in her wake along with broken toys and broken dreams. Harsh words fluently flipped off of her sour tongue. Although many, including her parents, prayed that it was just a phase. It never really was. It was during this early year of Svana's life that her grandmother had departed to the after life. However at the funeral Svana never cried a single solemn tear. Instead she sent her family whirling into disarray as laughter bubbled up through her forsaken throat. From a single match she lit the coffin ablaze and watched as a woman she hardly even knew burn into ash. It was on this day that her family finally knew what she truly was, and it was on this day that her imprisonment began. 

Locked doors and barred windows shielded Svana from the outside world, encasing her in a realm of evil. Her room had become her cell and even school became a distant memory. In fact nearly everyone forgot about Svana over the years that followed. During her unrightful detainment Svana was only greeted by her parents when she was being given food or allowed to walk down the hall to the bathroom. It was during this horrible treatment Svana truly came to hate her parents. Although trapped within her room Svana could still listen through the thin walls. Lies of her death were all the ever leaked from her parents lips and it was then Svana knew her fate. No one knew her and no one would recognize her any longer, she was the lost Hope of the family. Still curiosity, no matter how painful, always drew Svana to look out of small cracks in her windows as her cousins played below in the yard. Their laughs constantly rose but all Svana could hear were their deaths. She was a demon undoubtedly but was confinement truly the right course of action?

As Svana continued to drift aimlessly through time she eventually reached the age of twelve and finally she was granted to see the world once more. For one day a year she was released for the sole purpose of the Reaping, but to her it was so much more. In one day Svana had more power than all of the other 364 of them. Although deathly and supposedly awful Reaping Day become Svana's favorite time of the year. Especially her second Reaping, precisely two years before Lily was taken Svana ignored her parents will and confronted the cousins she always saw playing. Confusion and disbelief riddled their eyes but after Svana was able to clearly explain multiple events that happened on her own yard they had no choice but to believe her. However, Svana didn't know how far her reveal would go as the family would later demand for her instant release despite her parents' warnings. It was that night for the first time in eight years that she sat down to eat with her entire family, and through it all she couldn't believe they had freed the monster that she was. 

Often Svana was told by her unsuspecting cousins that they couldn't believe her parents would lock away such a pretty daughter like she was, and it was in that moment that Svana realized that they weren't wrong. Her hair was a beautiful dirty blonde which really shone brightly against her very light white skin. Then she couldn't help but notice the breath taking gleam of her oddly large green eyes in the mirror whenever she looked. Not to mention her fragile five foot seven frame of a body. Yet if she truly had the power to alter one thing about her body it would be her ears which were excessively large and nearly pointed almost like the elves of forgotten holiday stories. Still she figured her outer appearance was quite capable of hiding her true inner appearance.

Besides Svana's clearly demonic desires she was also gifted with a very demanding passion for art. Over her many years of confinement she had become quite the avid painter as she often let her brush convey her inner thoughts. Pictures of death and revenge littered every possible inch of her walls as more and more paintings just continue to be formed. In the beginning her skills were rather sub par but as time allowed her to paint on and on with no end except when her supplies needed restocking she became quite the master. In fact, soon after her freedom was returned to her many of her family members heard of her talent and paid her to paint them various things from portraits to moonlit lakes. Now although these things were nice Svana never truly felt as connected to them as the art work she produced in her room. 

One final flaw that Svana often found herself facing was her undeniable craving for love, but not just any love, intimate love. Through her darkest years she had found herself wanting nothing more than another's simple touch but alas she never received it. That was until she was returned to the real world and she let her drive for affection overwhelm her. Although relatively young for a woman to be sleeping around she found it was always more than possible to lure people into her hands. In the end Svana learned that she was far from the only one with the desire of lust in District Eight. 

Often though from this oddly addictive sensation Svana is driven to wear a very provactive kind of attire wherever she goes. Often her legs were covered by thin leggings and her shorts so high up it made her parents reel in disgust. From there things only grew worse as her shirts often ended at her belly button and her body was more than inviting. Although normally despised by her parents and her relatives for her outfits she was more than admired by those who spotted her walking by. Even though she was born from two angels she had learned that it doesn't mean they can't bring forth a devil such as herself.
