It's easier just to sleep. To not think about the darkness creeping into a heart already torn to shreds. A soul that cannot be killed and yet all that is concrete are the tears falling down wet cheeks and it's easier just to sleep.

To fade away.

To lie on the ground and to go wherever the wind may take me, into an eternity that stretches on for mere seconds or perhaps into a colorful cosmos with nothing but the stars and soft whispers to keep me company.

I don't like people, not a lot of them. They are selfish, easily bothered and rude. They are cruel and forgetful and perhaps the only person I trust is who shares the blood that runs blue down pale wrists. Her and the snails that creep across the concrete floor with soft stars in their eyes and a suspicious aversion to the droplets that drip off my chin and into their path.

I'm scared of people, a lot of them.

And I don't know how not to be.
