Just a Question {blitz}{ArcticWoof}

The girl that Jasmine had approached and wanted to ask the question to grinned when Jasmine had approached her to ask. She said 'Sure, why not', meaning that Jasmine was to ask the question now. That was how it worked, right? Of course it was. When prompted, she would ask the question, and that was now.

"Right! Thanks! So, I was wondering- and it's for a bit of a survey- how much do you and the rest of your family get for tesserae before each games?" questioned Jasmine. She hoped that this wouldn't seem like an offensive question of any sort. After all, Jasmine had no idea who this girl even was, much less how she would react to such a question. She had gotten good and bad reactions so far, as well as some people who seemed completely indifferent to what Jasmine had to say. Hopefully this girl wouldn't refuse to answer, like some people had. Although, she did seem a bit enthusiastic about being asked a question by a total stranger off of the street. Her grin gave Jasmine a bit of hope in this situation.

In all, it seemed that the girl who Jasmine had questioned was somewhat surprised by the out of the ordinary question. This didn't shock Jasmine in the least, however. She was just glad that the girl did not seem offended or upset by the particular question that had just been asked. It seemed as if the girl was truly thinking for a moment. Or at least, that was what Jasmine thought at first. After the words of the girl's answer exited her lips, she realized that the answer may not have been entirely truthful. The reason that Jasmine thought this was not certain. Perhaps it was the girl's tone, or the expression on her face? Maybe it was way that it almost seemed somewhat sarcastic, the response that was given. After all, this girl could have just been messing around with Jasmine. There were people everywhere that would be known to do that to just about anyone they wanted to.

The look that Jasmine gave to the girl after her response indicated mistrust, but she nodded nonetheless. Her brow was furrowed for a moment in suspicion. Figuring it would probably be best to get her name, that was the next thing that Jasmine asked the new acquaintance for.

"So, what's your name? I'm Jasmine Link." Jasmine inquired. She tried her best to get the names of the people she asked, so as to not get repeats of the same family, or even, if she didn't recognize someone she had already asked when coming across them again, the same person.

The girl that Jasmine had been speaking to had introduced herself as 'Mo' due to her saying that her first name would be a bit 'confusing'. What could her first name possibly be that would make things confusing? Then again, it's probably best not to ask... This girl seems like she may have a bit of an attitude. thought Jasmine to herself. She didn't want to say this out loud, however, as it may have seemed rather rude. Jasmine nodded in response the girl's answer about her name, not questioning it.

The girl then asked why Jasmine was going around asking people about their Tesserae. It was true- it was quite an odd thing to be asking people, she would admit. It wasn't exactly and everyday conversation topic or question.

"I guess I'm not really sure. If anything, it's really just a survey that I'm taking. To be honest- and please don't be mad with me- I don't have all too much of a reason." was what Jasmine admitted. She rubbed the back of her neck with her hand, feeling a bit embarrassed with having to explain herself. Maybe I shouldn't have asked anyone in the first place...
