Scout Fray --

It was hard to believe that he was dead, burning him alive had been enough to quench her anger, her need for revenge. And as Quadrys Lexig's body had burned, blackening as each second past, death encompassing him in a way of torture she had only tried a few times she'd found herself standing beside Celia. It was getting increasingly difficult for the young girl from district one to distinguish between her emotions. Never before had she felt this way, a stuttering, stammering beat to her heart encompassing her, the rapid pounding spilling into her veins as she had glanced in the girls direction. Celia Mortuus was beautiful and dangerous, in more ways then one. She was a killer, hands like her own, laced in tiny white scars that criss-crossed her skin, failures turned into to treasures as the weapon became an extension of limbs.

But there was danger, an echoing warning in Scout's mind that told her to stop, to step away. But it was so easy to push that tiny voice away, a weak little thing that had never before introduced itself. There were far darker thoughts in her head, the voice of innocence, of reasoning did not belong there. Perhaps there was no reasoning in this, because she had nothing to truly understand. Scout Fray was a seasoned killer, a monster in battle, a blood-craved beast. She had seduced men and woman many times over, always steps towards their doom. But she had never, never before in her life felt her lips hesitate, her mind blank, heart stammer when she went to talk to someone.

She must be ill. She decided, because after the fight had finished, and the flames that consumed Quadrys' body had reached the sky, it had been so easy, so easy to turn her head and kiss Celia. Seeing the glow of the flames against her skin, the flickering of it's hunger in her eyes, Scout hadn't been able to stop herself, hand shifting over to grab hers, tugging the district twelve girl in her direction. But that kiss hadn't felt like any other she'd had before, it had been warm. A soothing liquid had spilt into her veins, it had enveloped her completely, the heat springing against her lips, the fire nothing in comparison to what Celia made her feel.

It was victory, she'd reminded herself, as she drew back, an instant, yearning feeling of loss, like a canyon suddenly separated them. It felt like something was missing, out of place. Scout knew what needed to be done to get warm, to felt that fire in her body, and she wanted to. She knew how far she wanted to go, and all she'd have to do, reach forward and kiss her again. She could feel her own hunger and want in her breathe as she shifted once more. "You're so fucking dangerous," she'd muttered at some point beneath her breathe, a tangled truth in a web of lies-

She woke with a startled jump. The echoing feeling of warmth at the memory faded quickly into loneliness as she blinked rapidly. The morning went by fast, the lingering feeling of Celia on her lips, of the heat, stayed, buried deep into her soul, but it was hard to isolate it, emotions so foreign to her body that they were being quickly drowned out. The problem was, Scout didn't want to lose those ones. For once, the career was oddly silent as they continued to walk further and further into unchartered territory. She wished she could ask Kaiser what these feelings meant, he'd know, he always knew.

Sighing she combed a hand through her hair, the bag of snakes still sat on her back, her axe heavy in her hands. Suddenly, the marsh before them ripples, and Scout stops, digging her feet into the soaking wet mud, eyebrow raised in open curiosity as a beast of nightmares begins to rise. "Well aren't you just all sorts of fucked up." She murmured, to her slight dismay another, even ugly looking thing soon appeared beside the skeleton soldier. "Your mum should have swallowed you," she said, pointing her axe at the ugly fucker that seemed to be some awful cross between a fucking cat and a leech. Ripred that was messed up. At least the skeletor looked reasonable. "You, on the other hand, look like someone I've just flayed from head to toe, then dissected."

Time for an anatomy lesson.

It turned out that the skeleton guy could actually hit. Because after her shitty swing with the too heavy axe he was under her guard. "Shit," she yelled, cursing herself for leaving her guard so wide open. She should have at least expected that the fuckhead would be half decent. The Gamemaker's were out to kill her, after all.

The sword sliced her skin, digging deep into the flesh of her arm. The pain radiated through her, spilling through her like lava, a burning ache. It felt good, it felt refreshing, a pulsating pain that tugged at her pleasure senses. Her lips twitched into a delighted grin, as she shifted her stance, bringing the axe tip down, until it rested on the ground. "Now, now now, looks like our friend here knows how to play." She smirked, letting out a low whistle as she sauntered forwards. Her damaged arm resting on her hip. Crimson rushed down her forearm, mingling with her clothes at her waist.

"Blondie," she said, for the life of her she still couldn't remember cow faces and blondie's actual names. She'd have to ask again, although she was positive she'll have forgotten within moments. "You actually know how to use that weapon," she grinned, cow face had swung at the piece of shit that, honestly, didn't deserve to live, it's entire face was just a disgrace. Between the three of them she was sure this fight was going to be a piece of piss. No problem at all.

There was something, however, about this fight that left her feeling tired. It was boring, the Skeleton didn't talk, her allies said nothing. She missed, and needed to hear taunting, to her sounds other then the bang and clank of steel on steel. Fighting was no fun when your opponent couldn't insult you back, insults were half of the fight in itself. "You're so utterly boring."

With that she hefted her axe up and swung. Motion casual, almost lazy, the picture of her boredom.
