The work day had been particularly boring, so when the manager had called it quits for the evening, he had quite literally jumped at the opportunity.
Not that he didn't enjoy working at the mechanic shop, mind you. On the contrary, it was usually one of his favorite parts of the day. But on days where activity was scarce and customers were scarcer, well, now that was just boring.
Jakobi was the kind of guy that liked to consistently be doing something, so to him, days like this were torture in all but name.
Besides, he was supposed to meet up with Ansel for the first time in ages as well, so there had been that to look forward to.
It didn't take long to spot the dark-haired boy upon leaving the building. Like always, he was off in his own little corner, keeping to himself.
Their gazes met, and his face broke out in a grin.
He broke into a jog, eagerness quickening his step, and before he knew it he was wrapping the other boy in a bear hug.
"Dude!" He broke the hug after a few seconds, grin wide and genuine. "How've you been?"
It'd only been a few days since they'd last seen each other, and yet for Jakobi, it might as well have been weeks.
