i never really wanted any of this.

i know other kids in four who'd kill to be a morrisen, to have just a little taste of that name, to train and train and train until their feet bleed and their knuckles split. but i never wanted to be signed up for career training.

although, i never wanted to completely bomb it either, like some kind of injury to the pride i never thought i had, except i flunked out of there faster than you can say the family disappointment.

but i guess that's what happens when you're a surprise, an accident, unwanted. because dad gave up on me a long time ago, i'm pretty sure annisa hates my guts, and anton - my brother, not the fish - i don't even think he wants me around anymore.

it's alright though. i've gotten used to it. i don't stress. i find my own little place to exist now, and sometimes it's nice. sometimes it's out on the water with addison, or sometimes it's out at lunch with annie. i don't need bruised fists when i have something like that. i don't need my family to be whole again when i can just find a new one.

even though it might be nice.
