With the introduction of IC Trainers in Ratmas 2020, the writers of the High Council are celebrating with an event!
The annual Plinth Munitions Trainer Tournament, proudly brought to your screens by Fenwick Broadcasting Inc. is a creation by the High Council (both IC and OOC). We invite you to create bioed trainers, who are fresh out of their studies and ready to work!
Your trainers will be put to the test in a season of combat tournaments, much like the tournaments in District’s One, Two and Four from Ratmases of yesteryear. The tournament will be broadcast live across Panem’s strictly censored television channels. Each writer may submit one trainer to compete in this annual tournament.
The Top Four trainers at the end of the tournament will win the honour of being offered the job of Head Trainer in the Capitol, Districts One, Two and Four. The trainers ranked 5th through 12th will each be dispatched as trainers, working underneath these Head Trainers for the year. To break that down:First Place: Head Trainer - CapitolSecond Place: Head Trainer - District OneThird Place: Head Trainer - District TwoFourth Place: Head Trainer - District FourFifth & Sixth Place: Trainers - CapitolSeventh & Eighth Place: Trainers - District OneNinth & Tenth Place: Trainers - District TwoEleventh & Twelfth Place: Trainers - District Four
These will be the official, canon trainers of each district for at least one IC year. This means your character will be living and working in their ranked field for a while - which they may or may not be too pleased about. Yay work experience?
We’ll kick off the tournament with some non-combatant threads, including an opening gala hosted by Mr. Azazel Fenwick himself! You are also welcome to thread your trainers warming up, pre or post match, or reacting to their ranking results.
Sign up below! Your character can be an existing character or one you plan to bio. Just make sure they’re bio’ed and accepted by Friday 29th January.
Please note, you will need to be available for the weekend of Saturday 30th & Sunday 31st January 2021. We expect each ‘round’ to take a maximum of 24 hours. After the weekend we will allow for the fights to continue into the week and may allow for an extension of time, depending on how many sign-ups we get and what the bracket allows for.
Any questions, please head to the #trainers-tournament channel in Slack for more info & to chat with a High Council writer!Username:
