I used to think my life back in twelve was difficult, but I was incredibly wrong. Being here is hard, and I feel so alone in ways I've never felt before. All I want is to have some sort of companion, a friend, something, yet it's all too much to ask for. All I can do at the moment is take a breather and figure out what to do next. Not that it matters. I move around trying to find anything to help me succeed in this game. I want to make it home to my family, but I'm pretty sure all of us do too. It would be wrong of me to assume otherwise, and at the end of the day, I feel it comes down to who wants it more.

I can feel the adrenaline starting to go away, and my mind is racing, my heart galloping, and yet I struggle to bring myself to do anything. I've tried making the best out of the situation I'm in, but it's impossible. I look around, and all I can see is the walls of the training center. I want to go outside, I want to see the outdoors, the sun, nature. Something. Anything is better than being trapped in here. But for now, all I can do is focus on where I am. It's easy to get too far ahead of myself. It's easy to forget the main goal. I just hope that I manage to do something write even if I can't find anything useful that can help me.

I sigh and walk away from the area. I don't have anything to help me. Might as well just leave it behind. They have to think this is some sort of joke or something. All I can do is move on and not even let them see they've annoyed me. I reach my hand into my bag, and I feel something, and when I hold onto it, I realize it's a jar of tar. I remember watching previous games where tributes have used this to ignite their weapon, but right now I haven't anything to light a fire with. I need something, and I'm not sure where I can find a flint or matches, but I know I have to try.

I head back to the elevator, and I keep my eyes and ears open for any sort sound. I'm still worried that some sort of horrifying creature to make its presence known again, and I'm more afraid of this than I am meeting a tribute. At least I feel tributes would have some sort of logic behind them and maybe run away especially right now since no cannons have sounded. Unless they're running together. I take another deep breath as the elevator door opens, and when I make my way towards another area of the training center, I try to think of where to go. Not sure where to look, but maybe I can find something somewhere. I just have to hope.

It's hard being a tribute. All I can think about is my family. I miss them so much right now, and all I want is to see them again. I want to make it home to them which is why I'm fighting. It was hard saying goodbye, and I know that it could easily be forever. I just want to figure out if I'm ever capable of succeeding. I've put on a show prior to being tossed into this place, but I'm sure if it'll be enough. It may never be enough. I've watched even the most trained careers succumb to the hunger games. They're fighting all their lives and training every chance they get, but I never had that chance. Just have to hope I can do good enough.

I walk amongst the shadows trying to stay hidden, but it seems super hard to do here. All I can do is keep trying and pushing on. My entire mind is racing as I keep looking through different areas again and again hoping for something useful. I still need matches or a flint. Not sure where to find those at, but I'll keep looking because it's all I can do at the moment. Maybe I'll get lucky and find something I need. It always seems like it'll be difficult, but I refuse to give up. I refuse to let anyone down. I refuse to let myself down. I know what I'm capable of, and I just need to push myself further.

I'm not finding anything worthwhile, and it's slightly annoying, but maybe it's all part of the greater plan. Not sure what that would be though. A heavy sigh leaves my chest, and I keep moving forward. I have to find something to help me. Something that can get me through the rest of this game. All I can do right now is take a breather and let my brain relax. I know it isn't much, but while I still have time, I want to know what all I can find. I take another breath before moving again. I'm not sure where everyone is, but I know that I want to stay moving as much as I can. Maybe that way it takes a while for someone to find me.

I wonder what my family and even others in the district are thinking in this moment. What's going through their minds? Are they afraid? Are they wondering the many ways I can die? I've made it this long, but that doesn't mean much when only two cannons have been fired. I can only hope if i die that it happens when my family is asleep. I should be putting on a brave face, yet I am terrified. Being alone in an environment like this while having no one to depend on is beginning to take it's toll.

I take a deep beath, I have to look strong, and having a blank canvas makes it more possible. I try once again to search these shelves. Frustration is running high, but I'm alone which gives me a lot of time to search. With what I've found so far, I'm unsure of what to do with everything.

It's not easy. There's so many things to look through, and I am a bit afraid of what I could potentially find. I wouldn't put it past anyone to hide something dangerous. I can't focus on that though. Soon, I'll find a nice place to rest because I need some sleep. I need to make sure I'm fully prepared for tomorrow though. Focusing on one task is almost impossible, but at least at the moment, I know what I need, and I'll keep looking until I find it.

I need help. I don't know what to do or where to turn. All I can think of is trying to keep myself sane. I miss home. I hate being alone. It's horrible, and none of it is helping me. Part of me is content knowing that I have the chance to reconnect with my father in whatever the afterlife is if it even exists, but I don't want my family to watch me die. I've tried so hard to make my family happy, my mother and my sister, and I feel like I'm failing them. I want to apologize to them, but right now, I'm being strong, and that's all I can do.

I lean against a wall for just a moment, and I try to take myself away from this world for just a moment. This is a horrible place, and knowing that more have to die makes it worse, but we all knew that coming in. We all knew that life would happen and we'd have to fight our way out of it. It just didn't truly dawn on me until now. All I can do at the moment is try to remain strong despite wanting to break down for a moment. I take a deep breath and continue my walk. I'm definitely tired, but I can't let a little fatigue hold me back.

I'm scared. Every hair stands on end as I continue to loot. I couldn't eat because I didn't find food and even if I did, my stomach's in knots, and I shouldn't sleep, not while there's a need for supplies. With no food, not much useful supplies, no allies, very little sleep, I don't know what to do anymore, so I pace around the room watching as time slowly ticks away.

I decide to empty my bag and look at the various items scattered out in front of me. I drop to one knee in frustration and takes all my strength to refrain from screaming. There's too many things here I don't know what to do with. I pack up what I intend to keep making my bag lighter and continue to scavenge. My luck has been terrible, but it has to end sometime right? Something useful will be found if it's the last thing I do today.

My eyes dart back and forth scanning the immediate area after my latest attempt to find something. My heart begins beating faster. I've been making so much noise, but I'm too damn stubborn to give up. There has to be something useful here. I have to find a place to hide, my body is aching. My mind won't stop spinning and racing. No matter what I do, it could lead to my death.

The frustration I feel at not finding anything makes me want to take my weapon and destroy this area. It's a sick joke not finding anything familiar to use. I know I should adapt and use what I got, but I need anything to put me at ease. There's no one to lean on for support, my biggest regret so far is not seeking anyone for help. I thought being alone would be for the best, boy was I wrong.

My heart is racing, chest pounding. Everything is hurting. Everything is falling apart, but somehow I'm still alive, and somehow I've managed another kill. It still hurts, but it's becoming easier and easier. Not something I would ever imagine myself thinking or saying. I take a deep breath as I leave the roof and head back down inside. It's easier this way. I just want to find a place to hide, and I want to mend myself up so maybe I can stand a chance against whatever is going to come my way.
