I could not find anything searching my previous area, so I make my way toward the dining hall. I could use some water or food. I've gathered a lot of stuff and expended too much energy in doing so. The exhaustion I feel is too much to deal with, if I got into a fight now, it would not end well for me. I need a better plan than scavenging random items in hopes of finding anything worth holding onto. Gather what food and drinks I need at the kitchen and head out to find a place to rest for the night.

After making the trek to the kitchens, I listen for anything suspicious, but find only silence. That doesn't exactly comfort me. Walking into the kitchen would be a great place for a trap. I look around carefully before concluding it's safe for the moment. The lack of cannons today worries me. Tomorrow will not be a good day. I better finish searching this area before something happens.

It's hard to believe, hard to understand why everything is happening that way that it's happening. I killed someone, I ended the life of another human being, and it's eating me alive. I want to scream, to throw my hands up and just give up, but I can't do that now because if I give up, Tavi will have lost his life for nothing. I have to fight. I have to keep going. I have to make sure I'm doing everything in my power to stay alive and survive this game. I owe it to everyone who has died already, and at the same time, I'm not sure what to do or where to run to. I feel so alone, and it's terrifying.

I chuckle as I crack my knuckles, and I head to the elevator. I always thought this game would bring me back to my father, but now, as much as I want to see him again, I want to win. I've tasted blood, and now I want more. I know I'm capable of succeeding. I know I can kill someone, and while it's a horrible feeling, all I can do is keep going. With the amount of cannons that sounded today, I know I'm going to hear more the longer I'm alive, and it is my hope that I hear all twenty-three of them. But for now, I have to find something I can use that will bring me one step closer to victory.

I'm tired. Tired of hearing the sound of people dying, tired of fighting, tired of doing what I have to do to stay alive, yet I can't stop. I can't just sit back and do nothing because then I will die. I'm so tired. I want to sleep, but it all seems so impossible. I want to close my eyes and all of this just be a dream, but it's not. I know that I have to kill at least one more person, and I just want to scream. I want to shout at the top of my lungs because this is so exhausting. Tavi. Laney. Javier. Who else do I have to kill? Why do I have to do this? I'm tired of playing this stupid game, but I can't put my family in danger. I can't risk their lives, and now I have to keep fighting. I hate this. Everything, but here I am. I have to try. Not for me, but for them. For the deceased and their families.
