He found his breathing to be a little strained even long after the dummies had dragged their animated bodies elsewhere. Somewhere else in the medical wing something stirred. It wasn't quite the right cadence for the dummies but it wasn't likely to be something friendly either. For a time none of them moved.
And then Machiavelli finally gave into the strain of actually holding his glaive - a miracle - and it clattered onto one of the sterile hospital beds. "Use it if anyone gets too close," he leveled his gaze at Wolf as he slipped the knife he'd found the previous day out of its sheath strapped near his heart. "I'm going to see who we've got for company."
The flourescents -- which he knew would be quick to betray him -- seemed to shine more steadily along one axis. He followed them, ears ringing with the whispers of conversation. Tributes, he decided. And would that be better than facing the dummies again?
Would they, too, be afraid of him?
