Minnie Schuyler | District 6

For many Minnie appears as just another sweet young girl, despite being a teenager she is still a little small for her age. She has her mothers dark hair and her fathers soft green eyes. Her long hair is usually tied back in braids, either a single one down her back or twin braids, she prefers to keep it long but also out of her eyes. When not pulled back it trails down almost to her waist and constantly is bothering her by covering her face. It's not unusual when she is 'working' that two long braids are quickly pulled back - tied together on the top of her head in a messy bun with almost anything she can find. A piece of string or rope, more than once it was a stray piece of wire!

Her hands have many tiny scars, little cuts from getting into things - while she is always careful to put it back together of course! - she's less careful with her own hands. Thus it left its mark on her pale skin. She also has a larger scar on the right side of her face from her hair line to her right ear - she loves to tell stories about how she got it.

When it comes to how she dresses, Minnie opts for comfort first - prefering clothing that is perhaps a little larger - she enjoys wearing loose sweaters with almost everything and despises wearing dresses. When given the choice she will always pick pants over skirts or dresses, usually needing to be pretty much forced before wearing the annoying dresses her mother picks out for her. Pants are far more practical for the hard working young woman, pockets are a must as far as Minnie is concerned.

Minerva prefers to go by 'Minnie', while she will tolerate use of her full first name from some people, others are bound to get a glare and a serious reminder that she prefers her nickname. She may be sweet at times, but she is certainly headstrong particularly in her beliefs. Very little will stop her from voicing her opinions, be they agreement or disagreements - more than once she has been told that she is 'a child' and should be seen and not heard. Something she highly disagrees with, she may be young but it was the children who would be the future of not only her own district - but all of the districts.

However, when the Hunger Games are on Broadcast she becomes surprisingly quiet in her responses to questions, paying close attention to what she is seeing, yet it is the look on her face that makes others pause. It is almost unreadable. She has a lot of feelings regarding the games, but few are aware of just how she feels for them. She hates them. Completely and utterly hates them, how they make her sad for those that are lost, those that clearly stand no chance but are still tossed into the arena. She has so many things she wants to say but tries to be careful about who she voices her thoughts with.

She has always had a curious and highly inquisitive mind, she was always one to constantly annoy her father when she was younger, though the man was always amused and did his best to answer - his annoyance was more fond than anything. Minnie would grab anything that she could get her tiny hands on and proceed to begin, taking it apart only to try and put it back together once more.

Finding out how things work is something she still loves to do, but something that is rarely done now she's older - or perhaps she is simply a little better at not getting caught doing it as often. She does gladly help out some neighbours and anyone that is willing to ask if something is broken, she'd happily attempt to work out the problem and almost always manages to somehow repair the object and return it in working order, sometimes even better than it was before.
