Lauren Kinkade strolled through the technology fair hiding behind thick framed glasses and a slouchy beanie. With his signature thick hair tucked away hardly anyone noticed him and those that did hurried along quickly. It seems the 91st Games had been quickly forgotten.

He could not say exactly why he had purchased the discount Capitolite ticket and taken the train all the way to District Three. Only, that it seemed better than sitting around his apartment doomscrolling. And now that he was here and had sampled the local cuisine - some of it rather good - he felt he ought to return to the Capitol.

Except he didn't have any stories to tell Ex Oh about this silly excursion.

So when he came across the simulator he paused. Was it blasphemous for a former Gamemaker to step inside? Before he thought too hard about it he'd signed the waiver with a pseudonym and selected sword as his companion.

Once outfitted and the doors locked, there's only the materialization of his opponent to warn him before the fight begins.
