95th Elections: Mayor & D13 President

For the 100th Quell we will be updating the election requirements for Mayors. We’re notifying you now so that if you intend to run for re-election you can participate fully over the next 5 Games. The election weighting will reflect the Mayoral/President/Councilor activity in addition to this weighted point system developed by Rave & Mattio. Here is an example of the points for the 90th - 94th. By the 100th Games, in order to qualify for re-election, a Mayor must: have an accepted and active bio & have run one district-centric plot.

NEW REQUIREMENT FOR MAYORS: Upon receiving the position of mayor, it is your duty as the leader of the district to come up with one plot which involves your mayor and directly impacts your district.

Examples of what these plots could be: a festival, a natural disaster, a political scandal, a contest involving your district's industry, a new development in the work force, a new law or regulation which impacts livelihood or daily schedule!)

Keep in mind that these plots should be indicative of your District's Status according to the point system and could further impact your mayor's future involvement. (An increase in uprisings, for instance, would make the Capitol less apt to allow you to continue to run the district in the future.)

How this will work:

1. After being elected, you will be required to come up with a plot involving your mayor which directly impacts/involves your district.
2. Between each games, a member of the tutor team will list all of the available districts and randomly roll two of them to take place. Members will then be invited to write in the events over the course of the next several months, until the next games ends and more districts are rolled by the tutor team, cc ᴥ
3. If your district is rolled, your plot will be triggered.
4. Plots must be staff-approved, fit within the canon universe, and must be made with the knowledge that the Capitol is still in control of the country and will seek punishment for outward lawbreaking. (if you want to instigate an uprising, there could be major ic consequences for both your mayor and your people.)
5. If you do not have a plot ready upon being rolled, you will be ineligible to run for mayor again next term.
6. If you are struggling to come up with any plot ideas, you can consult the tutor team or admin team for ideas before being rolled.
7. Mayors will only be required to make one official plot per elections cycle. Once your district is rolled, you will be removed from future randomized rolls in a given cycle.
8. Additional plots are allowed but not required or officially sanctioned as site-wide events (They will function as regular plots)
