Late to the fight [Emma Jenning vs. Lovely Headach

Ocean Jones's eyes were widened as Trace Rowgan moved out from the trees. Happiness rushed over her, and she smiled like she'd never smiled before. It was a real smile, the first one of the Games that weren't from killing or hurting someone. She said nothing, merely watching as he came and sat beside her. Ocean wrapped her arms around him, smiling.

She felt like she was doing something wrong, and she was. There was no need to fall in love, though she had. She'd die by his hands, she just knew she would, and yet, she couldn't find a way to escape from her love. Ocean Jones, at the time, needed not to worry about this. She forced her mind away from it, focusing on other things.

Letting go of Trace, she stood up, the spear on the ground next to her, with the satchel placed in front of her stomach, in case she needed to use anything in it at any point in time. "Let's see... Water. That's what we need. But I read in a place somewhere that you always need to boil it first. 'Cause if you don't you can die." Ocean thought of ways she could start the fire, finally she decided on -

The girl that'd punched Ocean in the lip arrived, and Ocean's immediate reaction was to pick up her spear. She poised it high, ready to attack her at any moment.

The girl threw a rock, making a small cloud of dust erupt from the ground. She jumped at the sight, spitting out an amount of dirt that had flew in her mouth. It reminded her of her Training Session.

"I just killed your friend person and the other one ran away 'cause she was scared. Do you think you can win?" She was sick of the way she was acting. She wasn't brave, she wasn't macho, she wasn't the killer she was making herself be.

The girl muttered something like, 'You're so dead', and Ocean Jones was once more infuriated.

She thought of possible ways to keep from killing the girl, for the bloodthirsty girl that she was had died down some from the last kill. She pulled her whip from the satchel after placing the spear in the bag, leaving the tip hanging out from the lack of room for it to fill.

She took the whip, the new weapon, the one that wasn't hers before, and slung it at the girl.

The whip slapped hard against the girl's chest, leaving a tingling sensation traveling up Ocean's arm. She wasn't happy with it, and the wasn't particularly happy with the effect it had on her. With a spear, you couldn't control where it landed once you let go.

She carefully put the whip in the open satchel and pulled out the spear.

What was wrong with her? Miss. Miss. Miss some more. Miss. Was she missing purposely? Sure, it was only the second attack she'd attempted, but shouldn't she have hit at least by now?

Ocean Jones laughed this time around, lunging the spear forward.
