Just a quick suggestion. Lately, I've been noticing how intimate the District Square's been getting and there's a lot of personal things in there. Maybe you guys could make it members-view only? After all, a lot of people have their pictures in there, as well as other stuff... I don't see why not.

Anybody can just join, then see them anyways. Yeah, keep your privates to yourself, man.

I could care less about the pictures. I'm more concerned with those threads regarding the passing of loved ones. Yes, it's pretty presumptuous of me to just assume they don't want to share it with the world, but I feel it'd be more appropriate if it was left within our own community. A lot of other sites have done this for the same reason.

Harsh, but let me explain myself. Private matters are hard; getting through them is more difficult. By posting it here, you have to understand that you're making it public. If I'm going through a rough time, I might ask a certain member or few if I could talk to them about it. If I feel confident enough to post things here, then I'll do it. I'm fine with posting my pics because I trust you guys and I figure there is only so much you can grab from a picture. I have learned to hold back certain topics from you guys and that is completely my choice. Yeah, I might want to post about it, but I have to understand the conditions of posting it here.

Also, making the district square closed off would be excluding the guests from observing the site. When I decide on what site I would like to join, I judge by community as well. While the cBox is great, the District Square allows the guest to get a gist of the community here without having to register (and later leave if they don't like the community) at their own pace.

In short, this site is public. Privacy is determined by the member (after a fair warning from the staff members). Yes, some issues might seem very personal but if you can handle posting here, then you can handle the thought of posting to the world.
