The Train to the Capitol

Hunter awoke with a start and looked around. He was on the train. The train. Not the Hunger Games, not yet....
It was dark out, and everyone else was asleep. Hunter tried to do the same, but that dream.....
What am I doing? he thought. I'm not going to get killed. I'm not going to get killed...
Unwillingly, memories started flooding back. The room. Where the family says good bye to the tributes. Nobody had come to see him. Not even his own parents. Just as well, though, for Hunter didn't want anyone's pity. He gritted his teeth.
Then, the Reaping. Getting picked was hardly the problem. Anything was better than this life....except getting to steal from famous businessmen. But Dante....he would have to face Dante...
Dante was a gangster Hunter had met in District 1. The two had succesfully robbed a bank together, and a close bond was formed. But Dante, like Hunter, had been chosen for the reaping.
It's okay, he thought. I am the hunter, and they are the prey. The prey. The prey. I am the hunter, and they are the prey......
