Olivia Bell - District 10

Some may call her pretty yet she considers herself as average as people come. Dark hair falls a little past her shoulders in big, waves. Since her family, as well as her district, is poor, she cannot get a hair straighter for her nappy hair. Even if she had one, she doubt she’d ever use it as she actually enjoys her naturally wavy hair. Because she believes her locks are attractive, she usually wears her hair down rather than in a ponytail. The only time one may spot her hair up is when she is forced to take part in some farming activity.

Her eyes are what she believes are her best attributes. They are of a striking bright blue shade which she adores. She thinks that her eye color is what people notice about her at first glance. Her eye lashes are rather short but they do not bother her so much. As for the lines of hair above her eyes, they are naturally thin. She does not have to worry about shaping her eyebrows.

She hates her pointy nose and she thinks everyone else hates it too. It is long and skinny and bothers her so. It distracts others from her other facial attributes. At least she believes so. Her cheeks do not have color unless she pinches them. She dislikes this about herself as well. Her jaw line is lovely but her neck is short. Her lips are naturally plump and of a light pink shade. She neither likes this or loathes this.

Her leg/torso portions are about correct for her height or 5’7. This young lass weighs about 130 pounds which could be considered over average for her starving district. She isn’t as skinny as other girls in her district but she is still pretty tiny.

If a person is hurt around Olivia, she would be the first person to react to the situation. She despises when people are in pain in any way [mental and physical]. She believes it is her responsibility for her take care of the problem with the most quick and reasonably solution. It is events like these in which she thinks that should she have a medical career where there is always someone she can help. But she figures she cannot get out of District. It is District 10 so, obviously, her family does not have the money to move. If it weren’t for her busy schedule. In other words, Livi is very caring.

Loyalty is perhaps one of the most used traits simply because of her parents. When is comes to her family, she listens to them and would not stab them in their backs. Trust is something is tested often with this girl. She hates it when people like to pretend to be her friends even when she has nothing to offer (other than a pretty smile). In relationships, she is also loyal. Olivia isn’t the type of person to commit adultery.

Olivia would never give up on something she believes in. An example would be, if her little sister got in trouble for something she did not do, Olivia would fight to make sure her sister is not harmed. In most situations, her cases could stand up in a court. The same thing applies with her schoolwork. When it comes to a difficult question, she would not give up until she has made a reasonable answer.

At times, Livi can get a little “moody.” One day, she may be happy but, the next, hate herself and the world. Almost everyday she returns home from work, she may slam doors or yell loud things at her siblings and parents. Never once has she thrown any fists but she fears that she may one day. She blames her moods swings on her siblings and parents. They bring quite a bit of stress into her life. As for working, she hates it because she constant being told to do things. She really dislikes authority unless it is a parents or other older family members.

Through her parents are completely broke and she wants to escape this district, this girl is pretty happy. She loves her family and has never declare any type of hatred for them. Hate is a strong word for her and believes it should never be used in any situation. Olivia also adores her loyal friends and wished the best for them. She begs them to make the best decisions so they can insure a great future for themselves. Most of the time, people can see a smile on her face and laughing the stress away.

On March 19, Olivia Aurora Bell was born in the caring arms of her mother and father. She was a rather tiny child at birth and, sadly, a disappointment for parents. The family believed they would be birthing a son as their first child instead of a sickly girl. Felicity, her mother, had even birth three weeks in advance hence their child smallness. Nevertheless the families’ disapproval, the family brought their first child home the very next day. The doctors believed Livi would be fine regardless of her size. About a year later, the family was back at the hospital as Felicity birth a son. After that day, it seemed as if Olivia did not exist.

Her parents were farmers which is why they produced a great number of children. Eight in total. They believed the more children they had, the more money they would make. It was good idea in theory but the family battled more expenses than believed at first. The family was forced to buy more food for their family as well as clothing. Olivia did not have to suffer the handy-downs clothing since she was the oldest girl in her family. However, her two younger sisters could be spotted wearing clothing she had at one time. The oldest of the boys had his own collection of cloths that were handed down to the other four boys.

At times, it is difficult to live in the same house as nine other people but she maintained to survive though it. She found music at the age of ten while she was exploring the streets of District 10. A store displayed a six stringed instrument that she instantly fell in love with. The store clerk informed her that it was called a guitar and that is was an almost outdated instrument. After speaking to the clerk, she decided to buy the instrument with the little money she earned that day. Her parents were extremely frustrated that she bought that thing instead of food for the family. They threatened to chop up the instrument and use it as firewood but once that heard her pluck the instrument, they began to love it as well.

Once she turned twelve, she applied for her first Tessera without her parents consent. Her parents requested their children not do because they did not wish their children to compete in such a cruel competition. She only wanted her family to get more food since she continued to feel guilty for buying her guitar over two years ago. However, when the Hunger Games rolled around, Livi feared that her name would be pulled simply because she went behind her parents back to get more food. When it was, she was relieved. She told her parents what she had done but they did not seemed as phrased as she thought they would. They celebrated the reaping with the food she received from the Tessera.

Now she is at the age of fifteen. She has dodged the Hunger Games bullet three times but she afraid that she will not this year. She also fears that her siblings would be forced into the games at one point of another.
