That One Where We Didn't Do Anything

In the morning of the sixth day, Aénor celebrated the blood that coated the earth outside of the cave where she made her home. One more cannon fired in that day alerting her momentarily to the fact that there were only three more tributes to kill until she was free. She rested at the mouth of the cave in the day. She would be ready to fight if she must, but Aénor knew that the Gamemakers liked to spread out the suffering until the Capitol begged for another taste of blood. Day seven would probably mark another death or two. Day eight was the end. Aénor could smell the open air of District Three. Day six was a day of healing and they she was back to hunting for the remaining three. Aénor fed her body and drank a jug of water.
