As Sebastian entered the training center for the first time, he felt extremely nervous. His hands were sticky, and he kept rubbing them together like he used to at the orphanage bond fires. His hair had refused to cooperate this morning and finally his stylist had given up in a huff and stormed out of the room. Now it was sitting in a wild nest above his eyebrows, and a few pieces were tickling the nape of his neck. Every time Sebastian looked at something, he would get thick goosebumps on his skin, and his spine would twist like smoke.

Trying to keep his breakfast in his stomach, Sebastian walked over to the stealth section and listened half-heartedly as the instructor gave him a few excersises. It wasn't that Sebastian didn't want to win the games, he did with his whole heart, he wanted it so badly it made him feel numb. It was the slow realization that the vast majority of the people here had handled weapons before. Sebastian had never picked up a weapon of any kind, and the thought of guns made him dizzy.

Trying to focus on the task the instructor had given him, Sebastian gazed with forced tunnel vision at the dummy he was supposed to sneak up on. His hands kept brushing his hips, unhappy at being so far away from anybody. Thinking about it now, Sebastian couldn't remember a time since he realized his mother may have abandoned him and not died that he had felt so impossibly lonely. His mind was starting to panic, and his gaze darted around, screaming for someone to find him, help him find his way out of this hell.

Colan Raftor stood still in the elevator, his blue eyes transifxed on the many buttons before him. As always, his eyes contained the immense anxiety and nervousness that continued to churn within him. Etched clearly across his face was the expression of dread, and a large amount of longing to be back home in District Ten. His back was hunched over, as if at any moment his churning stomach would empty itself out. Instead of the usual olive face, it was a sickly pale. It wasn't until the elevator doors opened that he stood straighter, his weary eyes scanning the scene before him.

The scene before him didn't help at all. The room may have been very large, but to the District Ten male, there were too many bodies packed into it. All of Colan's breath seemed to leave him in one exhale, for his feet stumbled out of the elevator like he was going to pass out. 'Get ahold of yourself Colan' he told himself. Slowly, he straightened his spine, forcing his stormy blue gaze to hold a strong gleam to them. His usual stony expression remained as he glanced around the room, the corners of his mouth turning down as he saw the packed stations.

Colan sighed under his breath, the feeling of wanting to give up settling in his stomach. There was the slight thought to just turn around and skip training, though the sound of his mentor's disapproving words cut into his thoughts. Leaving was unexceptable. A deep sigh emitted from him as he forced himself to calm down, his eyes sweeping over the station for one that was empty. The smallest one, though, was the Stealth station, for only one person was at it.

Colan stared at the boy for a few silent moments, his feet remaining in the same place. The boy was Sebastion, or something along those lines. He vaguely remembered the video of his Reaping, one of the most dramatic. He remembered the deep sympathy that had settled within him as he watched him and the young girl say probably say their last goodbyes. Their was a sense of longing there too, to feel that same feeling for someone, or atleast feel something for others. When it came to talking or being with another, he shut himself down. He was socially-awkward; depressed, or atleast that's what everyone told him.

Colan sighed, shutting the thoughts out of his mind as he slowly approached the station. His long fingers were stuffed deep into his kargo pants, his white shirt already beginning to stick to him from his nervous sweating in the elevator. His steps were quiet, for he saw the concentration on Sebastian's face as he snuck up on a dummy. The sight was quite amusing to him, though no smile appeared on his stony face.

There was something else, though, that he noted about the boy. The moment he got close enough to see, he easily noted the way Sebastian's eyes darted back and forth, though he couldn't tell if it was from being nervous, anxious, or something else. There was a slight question that appeared in his worrying thoughts, for he silently wondered if that was how he looked when he became so worried and anxious.

Quietly Colan cleared his throat and nodded to the boy and the Station instructor, his eyes trailing back to Sebastion quietly. His head tilted to the right slightly, a questioning expression filtering into his stormy blue eyes. Silently he pushed the look away from his face, his gaze changing to look at the instructor as he told him what to do. The instructions weren't too complex, but for his clumsy legs, they were. The Hunger Games weren't looking too great for him already.

A cleared throat just behind Sebastian snapped him out of his panic, and he turned around just in time to catch the nod of the boy from District Ten. Colan, was his name Sebastian thought. Sebastian stared at him for a moment, startled by the vacant blue of his eyes. After a moment, Colan turned and began to work, and Sebastian too returned to his training.

It was that easy. They trained together, in near silence, sneaking up on dummies, excelling and failing at times. Sebastian was completely comfortable with the silence, unable to think of a need to break it. It was like a practiced routine, they worked so easily together, Sebastian often found himself working off of Colan to better himself. He could only hope Colan was doing the same. The training was becoming fun.

A few hours into the training, Sebastian sauntered over to the snack table and then returned to the Stealth training loaded up with rich chocolate muffins, thick fruit juices and a stack of about ten different salamis with bread. Sebastian didn't know what food was like in Ten, but in Eight he had never eaten anything so rich or sweet or delicious. He sat on the edge of the mat, half of his food already in his mouth and set Colan's half on the mat beside him.

"Snack-time," Sebastian managed to mumble through a mouthful of chocolate. It struck him, that these were the first words he had spoken directly to Colan, and he fund himself suddenly hoping he didn't scare him. Colan didn't seem like a particularly personable type but Sebastian liked him more than the other tributes and much preferred him to the drowning loneliness. Something about Colan was kind, like he understood Sebastian or perhaps at least sympathized with him. Whatever the case Sebastian's sudden desperation to keep him around sent his arm shooting out for a handshake. Then he said the words that he didn't want to, because he had to win, he couldn't want to care about someone in the arena.

"Allies?"
