Out of my way[Fearless][ally][Reaornotreal]

I pick my way carefully over the broken-up streets of the seam.

Just because I do business here doesn't make me welcome.

I sigh and twist my new necklace nervously, picturing Kayl doing the same thing.

And then I smile, pretending I can hear her voice in my head, so much like mine, but with an unmistakable hard edge.

"Come on, Ty. Be a tough girl. Don't get trampled." I sigh.

"Don't get trampled." I mumble out loud. Kayl I miss you. My own thought ricochets around my head, off of my skull.

I shake my head to clear it, too-recognizable strawberry blonde waves whipping into my face, released from their loose ponytail. My grey-green eyes glimmer with grief, as I know from experience.

That's how I always look when I think of my sister, not dead but gone all the same.

I look unreachable.

-"TJ!"-someone screams. I look up to see two people hugging. It's pathetic to think how much you need someone. Just one year alone can really change someone. After my mother died, i never really thought about living alone. My father's death was too soon.
Somehow, i feel ashamed. I would love to be in someones arms, maybe i would like it better if they were a male, but female means you two are the best of friends. It's not my fault i had to be born ugly and depressed. Blame God for all who cares.
I stand there watching the two of them. I feel like a creeper, but the feeling of my heart peeling, for the first time, overcomes it.
"Must be nice" I manage to mumble.

Ava walked down the streets of District Twelve with her hands in her empty pockets. Today had been a slow day at the Hob, nothing was worth stealing and therefore now her stomach was as empty as her pockets. It was such a shame really, that they were all alone in the means of survival.

Then she heard a squeal come from the other end of the street and her hand flew straight to her pocket where he knife always sat at the ready. Her fingers wrapped around the hilt as she drew it out and turned around. Peering down the street all she saw was the two people she had met the other day- Aija and TJ- sharing an awkward hug that made Ava want to vomit. Friendship could not be trusted in a place like the Seam.

Just as she was about to put her knife away her eyes focused on a blonde figure not to far away. What was hair like that doing in the Seam? Was she even from the area? Her hair was far to fine...
