I trudge through the snow to the fence, I've been out there a few times, but it's always only been when I'm desperate. Right now, I'm just in a thinking mood. I crawl under the fence of district 12 and take a few steps in.

It's nice and quiet, except for some animal sounds. I walk for a while, it seems like hours. Maybe it is, because when I finally get out of my thinking state, I have no idea where I am. I shouldn't have zoned out. A matter of fact, the coal dust that coats the snow in District 12 has worn away to a few specks here and there. How far did I walk?

It's so different farther out. I walk around, examining all the trees. More snow has covered my footprints. Then I see some, they are fresh, but not mine. I follow them, hoping maybe it's someone who can help me find my way back. Then, I speed up, because the footprints seem to be covering up faster. Soon enough, I can see someone. The person is tall, and I haven't seen him before.

"Hello?" I ask, "Do you know the way back to District 12?"

Tom ran faster from that dry district. His mouth was dry, he was ging to need water soon, but he didn't wanna stop. He smiles and thinks good thing peacekeepers haven't found out about me yet. That means Jack, Claire and other Claire didn't give me up.Tom was still tired of walking. he kept trudging in the snow.

Tom saw coaldust speckles on the snow, he couldn't beleive it, he made it to District 12. He stopped for a second to listen to the mockingjays sing. He heard they were amazing in District 12. he heard one singing a song that Tom sung before. Tom always thought of the song as his theme song which the song is Remember the name by fort Minor.

He began moving again, until he heard a little girl speak. He jumped maybe a peacekeeper bait. He looked from behind the tree, maybe just a lost girl. He walked out with a knife in his hand. He said,Hello little girl are you lost?This girl was odd, what was she doing out here. he didn't know at all.

I'm startled when he comes out with a knife, but we are in the woods, so I should expect that. "Yes, I am lost, I'm trying to get back to District 12. Do you know which way to go?" The little girl bit made me upset, but this wasn't the time to get stubborn. I stay rooted to the spot, frozen you might say, unable to move a muscle.

I look around and step closer, slowly, trying to act calm.

Tom knew that the girl obviously was lost. He stood there with his knife at hand. He looked at the girl, she was like a munchkin in the wizard of oz, maybe she was if they were in that world. He smiled at the girl as he placed his knife in his bag. He stood there in a comfortable position. He put his hands over his head. He smiled and said, Isn't it that way. He pointed torwards the smoke. He looked at the girl curiously, maybe she was going to tell the peacekeepers. He saidyou better not tell the peacekeepers about this. ok

I nod my head and turn to go, "Are you coming?" I ask, and turn back around. "Or are you hunting?" If he's hunting, I should probably leave now so he can have privacy. I look behind me, and suddenly seem to notice exactly which way to go. Maybe it was my thinking that confused me. Of course, thinking. Oh great, and now my mind is wandering off. Wandering... Wandering.... Something rings a bell.... WANDERING! "Are you running away?" I blurt out, then immediatly regret it.

"Sorry, I was just in a thinking moment." I tell him, and try to shrug off the question.

I looked at her, she seemed innocent. I looked u into the sky, it was just about noon, mybe I could get into District 12 and stay there for a bit. I said,I am running away, but I am going to stay in District 12 for a bit.I smiled a bit, I looked atmy sword by my side, maybe I shouldn't follow her, but oh well.

I grin, and turn back around. I follow as the coal dust gets thicker, and wonder why I didn't notice that. I get bored easily, and I realize how far I walked. We must have at least another hour to go!

I whistle for a bit, every now and then stopping to let the mockingjays have a turn. I occasinally glance behind me to see if he's still following me, and he is. I stop whistling. I turn around, looking behind me for something. My eyes dart around, but I see nothing. I slowly begin whistling again, but try to make sure nothing is out there.

"My name's Peprika." I tell him when I see the fence, "And thats district 12." I point at The Seam and crawl under.

Tom followed her, she looked cold and scared. I listened to the mockingjays sing. It was amazing. Tom listened intently. He noted all of there noises, Tom began to sing a song. He smiled as the girl pointed to District 12. Tom decided to go in. he crawled under the fence into the seam.

I watch him crawl under, then stand there, wondering what to do now. I can take him to my house, or the hob, or maybe I should just leave him here. "Where do you want to go?" I ask. I glance around quickly to make sure no one is around to see where we came from.
