~Elina Darkwood~

District 11
Branches crunched and snapped underneath of black boots. Where are those darned berries? Elinas' grandmother had been sick recently with the flu, and Elina recalled her mom telling her about a special type of berry that helps with the flu. A deep purple color, with a minty smell. She reminded herself. She sighed and just continued walking. They aren't in this area. Elina thought to herself. Her mom always told her they grew in patches, but Eli only saw them in tiny bushels. She began to wonder if she was picking the right thing, but they looked exactly the same. I'm probably just in the wrong area. Elina turned around and headed in the opposite direction.
The air smelled of fresh vegetables, and Eli knew she was getting closer to the fields. I'll bet they're across the field. Eli left her basket of berries in a bush beside her. If I were caught out there with you, they'd think I'm stealing. By 'they', Elina meant the peace keepers. They really would throw her into jail, or kill her like they did her parents. She had to be extra careful. She began to walk a normal, steady pace across the field, making sure to keep a strait face. Keep it casual Eli, keep it casual. She reassured herself. Her heart felt like it was beating out of her chest. She felt someone could probably hear it from a mile away.
The tall grass covered most of her legs, but Elina still felt open and uncovered. She could feel peace keeper eyes burning on her back. Your halfway there. Moments like these are when Eli really starts freaking out. So close, yet so far. She wanted to turn back and make sure her berries were still there but she knew she'd look suspicious if she even did that. Elina closed her eyes and imagined she was somewhere different. Elina was sure she had much longer to go. But that was soon confirmed false as her feet were swept out from under her and she landed on her face. Oww... Elina slowly picked up her head and realized she had tripped over a log. She was in the forest. Eli relaxed and let her face fall back into the mud. Man, that was scary.
