Tami was walking home from the reaping. The gentle breeze hit her silky pink dress. She giggled whenever her mother fell in her heels. Tami had taken her high heeled sandals off but was starting to regret it because the hot sidewalk burned her bare feet. "Your going to get blisters" her mom kept telling her. As the wind began to pick up she had to hold her dress and hat so they wouldn't blow around.
"Can I go to Sarah's house" she asked. She knew her parents would agree to this because they don't really like her around. Before they could even say yes, Tami was half way down then street, Ringing the doorbell of Sarafina Random's house. When a woman answered the door, she asked "Is Sarah home" in her most polite voice. The woman rushed Tami into her best friends bedroom .
The room was small but had lots of stuff in it. Cloths, magazines, posters, drawings, and trophies from swimming, track, fencing, and archery were all neatly organized . In the back of the room was her bed. Next to it was a table. On it was her bank, that looked like it had quite a lot of money in it. Only one thing was missing, her best friend. "Sarah!" she shouted. She was relieved when she saw her pop out from inside the closet wearing a new shirt. Her hair was in a high ponytail, with a bit of hair covering her left ear. "That looks great!" Tami shouted "Is that what you wore to the reaping?"
