"You know mom that new dish you made is great. Would sell for lots of money," Drayden commented as he placed the spoon down beside the bowl of steaming warm soup. The fresh sense of vegtables floating around in the soup his mother had just made, made Draydens stomach feel great.

"Thank you Drayden I think so too," His mother replied with a happy tone in her voice. "Now you should get back to cooking your dish." He was her son but he worked in the only cooking shop in the District that they knew off. They needed to keep food stocked up all the time

Drayden answered silently with the sound of the knife chopping a red apple along the cutting board. He was working on a new dish he had created. A cheap dish. The apples were cut up into medium slices then he would place them into a bowl. After he would cut up half off a wild strawberry, tossing it in. And finish it up by mushing it up along side some berries to create a great dish that was cheap and easy to eat. It would make around half a cup that could also be spread out onto a cake, but no one could afford that.

The warming stove behind him heated up his back as he tossed the apples into the bowl and grabbing for the berries. He was put out of his cooking trance by the loud opening of the door. He peered up and laid his eyes on a new person.

~ Hunter Gem~

I had been invited over to someone's house, thats something you dont see everyday. I guess it was nice to take my mind off of Taylor's d-d. Gah I cant even say the word, but it happened. Hopefully Fallstreak doesnt die, then I wouldnt have any friends at all. I walk up a hill and the birds fly by and sing a glorious tune that lightens up my mood.

I arrive at the house only after.. I'd say... 10 minutes? It was close. I open the door and it makes a much louder noise than doors usually do. "Helloooo?" I call into the empty-looking house. I look around until I see a boy with his eyes trained on me. He looks as if he was cooking before I waltzed in. "Hello. I am Hunter, Hunter Gem"

Drayden smiled at the new person, just finishing up the mush. He took one last turn of the spoon before he went and wiped his hands on his pants. Another customer at the store, or maybe not. It does not look like he could afford any of the things. Drayden sighed silently before he went over to a more open area behind the counter and called out to him.

"Hey Hunter, I'm Drayden. This is the shop me and my mom own, its kind of a food shop. So hopefully you will be able to buy something." He finished off his tiny speech, going back towards the bowl of mush and placing it in the windowed counter that displyed all the food for sale.

The store was small but nice. It had a stove right behind them and a long counter that was used for cooking and displying the goods. On the side of the walls on each side sat a set of a table and two chairs. "Sit down if you want."
