okay i never actually wrote poetry before and i want feedback lolz

What I’m Thankful for

The people who care for me
Like my family
My friends
The one there till days end

For the food on my plate
And the bed I slip into at nine fifty-eight
For the water I drink
And the school in which I think

I am thankful for my health
And that all is well
I am thankful for music
And doctors when I’m sick

The socks of my feet
And sales you can’t beat
Or some pants and a shirt
And a Band-Aid when I’m hurt

For books when I’m bored
For the candy I hoard
For soccer balls
And cough drops like Halls

Movies to watch
And TV shows that are top-notch
For my mom and my dad
For tears when I’m sad

For my cat Prim
And how her purring fills me to the brim
For my dog Murph
And his running around on turf

For the Earth itself
And all the tiny cells
For amusement parks
And pieces of art

For my eyes to see
And my nose to smell
For my hands to feel
And my mouth to tell
