Appearance: 
EYES: Just like the whole rest of District One, she has blue eyes.
HAIR: Light blonde hair? Must be from District One. Miss. Delancey's hair is a light shade of blonde but darker strands underneath since the suns rays never reach the under part of her hair. It's quite naturally wavy and isn't ling, only a little past her arm pits so it's easier to deal with. 
HEIGHT: Miss Delancey is a good average size around 5'7, which is her matured hight. Her mother was the same hight as her so she didn't expect to be any taller then her mother. Delancey feels like a freak when she wears high heals it as though she towers above everyone - of course she still wears them, if she could ever afford a pair out of her money that were actually worth wearing. 
WEIGHT: Because of her smaller figure she isn't going to weigh a lot in general. Delancey is 115 pounds of pure ferociousness you would call it. Just like almost any other district besides the Capitol it's all muscle, not a sign of fat on her. What a cruel world, it just reminds you of how much they don't care for you.   
BUILD: Delancey is  to a small frame, almost verging out on the petit side. She has small thighs and biceps, which is a result of less muscle strength in her arms and legs. Dispute her lack of great muscles in her arms she has a nice, flat stomach. 
DISTINGUISHING FEATURES: Her nose is quite narrow and long, even the tip of her nose is small and narrow. Her eyelashes grow in a fan shape style. She doesn't have freckles or beauty marks of any sorts.

Personality: 
WORST MEMORY: Delancey doesn't really have a bad memory, her life has been pretty neutral. Though it would have to be when she disappointed her mother when she got in a fight with one of her classmates. The disappointment that tool over her face when she came to pick her up was very depressing to Delancey since one of the most supportive people in her like is her mother.
BEST MEMORY: Delancey's best memory ought to be the time when she finished her first piece of jewellery at her mothers shop. It was for her brothers 12 birthday with a piece of left over stone she snatched from the shops junk pile. She polished the gem herself and wired it in to the sliver ring. Her brother was so grateful and it made her very proud a well as happy. 
DESIRE: Even if she doesn't admit it and she thinks she can do just fine with out them, all she wants is a group of true friends that would set their life on the line for you no matter what. Just because Delancey isn't exactly the most friendly person in the bunch but that doesn't mean she doesn't want friends. Of course she wants freedom but you can't enjoy freedom with out someone to share it with.

PERSONALITY: 
Delancey is one of those girls you don't want to mess with. She comes of as selfish, arrogant, and just plain mean. Her independent nature makes it frustrating to make friends with her because she tends to blow people off quite quickly. She is a no-nonsense get the heck out of my freaking life type of person if she doesn't like you. Of course there has to be room for some kindness in he life. She's like a coconut. Hard, thick, bitter shell on the out side, but once you work at it, there is sweetness on the inside. But please! Like that would ever happen.

There is not much room for error in the world for Delancey, which is the problem with her world. It's full of stupid people with stupid lives.  She dislike to see mistakes repeated, and have no patience with inefficiency. She may become harsher then usual when their patience is tried in these respects, because she is not naturally tuned into people's feelings, and more than likely don't believe that she should tailor her judgments in consideration for people's feelings. Delancey has difficulty seeing things from outside their own perspective. Delancey naturally has little patience with people who do not see things the same way that she does, they are just idiots. Her family consciously works her on recognizing the value of other people's opinions, as well as the value of being sensitive towards people's feelings. Of course, Delancey doesn't give a s**t. In the absence of this awareness, Delancey is forceful, intimidating and an overbearing individual. 

Delancey thinks she has a tremendous amount of personal power and presence which leads her to have a force towards achieving her goals. However, this personal power is also an agent of self-aggrandizement, which she does well to avoid.

Delancey is very forceful, decisive individual. She makes decisions quickly, and is quick to verbalize her opinions and decisions to the rest of the world. Sometimes she makes decisions too hastily, without understanding all of the issues and possible solutions. When her plans don't work, it really lowers her self esteem. Delancey also has difficulty applying logic to her insights, and will often make poor decisions. Which means that she has brilliant ideas and insight into situations, but she may have little skill at determining how to act upon her understanding, or her actions may be quiet rational. Delancey can sometimes be very dictatorial and abrasive - intrusively giving orders and direction without a sound reason for doing so, and without consideration for the people involved.

My history? Ha! You are actually asking me THAT? All I am going to say to that stupid question - What history? I don't have a history of any sort that would be an interest to any of the puny lives out there. Just like any other kid in Panem I was born to my parents and I am forced to go to school to be brainwashed from whatever matters. Pathetic I tell you. If you really want to know then fine, I will give it to you. But don't let it go to your head! I usually don't give in this easily. You just got lucky...  

Delancey Mercedes Abernathy was born to her mother and father when they were 27. The happy couple had been married for over 5 years. Why they waited so long? It didn't have to do with anything but fear. Fear that the child could be swept off during the most important stage of their life to be killed. Every parent feared the name. Fear of the name only increased the fear of the thing itself. The Hunger Games. It was the biggest obstacle they had ever faced. Overcoming that Delancey was born - what was the chance of actually getting in? I mean, out of thousand and thousands you aren't really at a big stake. Even if they were, choosing to ignore it was the best option. 

Her harsh personality wasn't always like that. When she was younger Delancey was more open to the world and how it worked instead of setting her environment up as a pessimistic one. When she was younger, as due to law, Delancey and her family attended the annual reaping each year. As innocent as she was it was a wonder why everyone looked so pretty - yet so sad. Then, she understood why. Her neighbour from across the street who was thirteen's name was called and after that day she never came back. Ever. Her neighbor always came over after school to help her with homework or play dolls with her old doll house. Even though it was small, it was something she remembered best. Ever since then slowly her smile turned into a blank expression. She has never or never will forgive the Capitol for taking her friend - one of the only true friends she had.

Her brother Elliot is her most prized possession, if you could own people of course. Once he was born she felt it was her duty to keep him safe. The relationship with her brother is very strong. Many people would always wonder if they were really related - usually brothers and sisters or which ever way were always at each threes necks and such Delancey would do anything for her brother even if it meant her giving herself up. 

What did Delancey do during her valued free time? She had always taken tumbling as an interest. It amazed she how people could flip and flop all over the place downtown by the square and get payed for being entertainment. She first asked her parents to consider taking her to classed. But their immediate answer was no. It was too expensive and they would go broke before she could actually please a crowd. Through 3 broken arms, a broken ankle, fractured wrist and knee brace, Delancey was on to something.  By the time she was 10 she self taught herself how to do a round-off triple back-hand spring, front handspring, front walkover, and an Arial. 

Over the years, she was just as she is now. Delancey attended school and was successful at the academics associated with it but the socializing part was harder. She was found in the cobra of the recess yard watching kids it doing her home work. Though Delancey isn't ignored, people would talk to her. If she made an effort she would have great relationships with all of them but she is very picky when it comes to friends as well as enemies. Keep your friends close. Keep your enemies closer.
