I never thought I'd need you there when I cry

Small flecks of dust float around his head, around is arms and legs, floating gracefully in and out of the little light that manages to creep in through the tightly closed blinds. The darkness spread to all corners enveloping the room in its eerie present, sucking all the light it can, away from the boy that sits on the edge of a shrubby mattress. His dark features give away nothing, that are stone still, lost in thought. His arms rigid hold his hardened head. His dark head sit on top of two well-built shoulders, lading down his well-built body, to his tense legs, who knew what was going through that head of his, but whatever that was, was making him uncomfortable, making him tense, alert. His eyes stare out to space, the dark orbs, absorbing any light that swam in their direction.
The room around him is small, and a layer of dust covers every object. Small beady eyes of spiders can be seen from the dark corners, they stare you down, daring you to come any closer, daring you to try and take them away from their home. The blinds are tightly drawn, eliminating most of the light. Only small shafts of light filter through the room, only to be adsorbed by the darkness, that swims hungrily waiting.
Finally the boy moves, a long sigh escapes his dark, chapped lips as he looks in the direction on the door. His eyes linger there. Slowly he rose to his feet, dust moves hurriedly around him, having been disturbed by his movement. His footsteps lead him to their door where he quietly open it and slipped out with no more than a word, silence filled the room. There was no sound except the soft thud of the door closing behind the boy. Specks of dust still float angrily around the room. Annoyed that they had been disturbed. But in a matter of no time the room was silent. Still. There was no movement, nor sound.

Jerrome feet took him to where it all happened, to where this nightmare all began. To where he lost her. Where he lost his Mother. Slowly he kneeled down next to the tree that claimed her life, where he saw her last living moments. He hadn’t come here before. He had never been here to face his mother. He had just accepted her death, but had he ever let her soul rest in peace?
“Sorry…” His voice shook slightly as he said the word. He had to face his fears, even if it involved reliving the last moments. He had to tell her how sorry he was, then maybe, just maybe he would be allowed to move on, maybe then her face would stop haunting him. Then he could let her sprit rest in peace.
“I-I’m so sorry, I never- I didn’t- I’m just so sorry. I love you mum. I love and I just love you…I’m sorry…” His voice cracked as his last words slipped through his mouth, tears gathering in his eyes. He didn’t wipe them away. He felt guilt swell up in himself. He had treated her like shit, all she had ever done was love him. he had taken her love for granted. And now… and now he had to live with it. He had never had the chance to tell her he loved her. And most of all he had never gotten to tell her he was sorry. He was sorry for so much. But she never heard those words come out of his mouth.
Slowly Jerrome pressed a hand onto the tree, then he brought his hand to his heart, then back to the tree. He held that position for quiet sometime before he pulled away. He tried to gather himself, before he turned away and started the long trek back the way he had come.
