Roger Nelson - District 8

Roger is a little bit shorter than average, standing at about 5'7. He is extremely scrawny, having little to no definition in his muscles. Despite his scrawny frame, however, the girls find him very attractive. He has short blonde hair, although he dyes it a lot, with a nice tan complexion and bright blue eyes. He is sought after by a lot of girls at school.

When he was younger, he always loved to watch the Capitolites on the TV and mimic their fashion senses. Because of this, he saves most of his money to buy the newest clothes and hair dyes that come out. He is very narcissistic and always concerned with how he looks. Because of this, he is looked upon as snobby, arrogant, and rich to other District 8 citizens. However, he is far from rich. He is actually below average.

Roger is a fun-loving, carefree dude. He usually never has anything bad to say about anyone. However, Roger can just be flat out annoying. He is whiny and never shuts up. He always tries to avoid hard work by making excuses.

Roger is extremely flirty, often to the point where it gets him in sticky situations with girls who he doesn't like or girls who aren't very attractive. However, he is neer rude to them. He is honest with everyone, and doesn't like the drama and games that a lot of girls like to play. He is very down to earth. He has a great reputation with everyone as a nice guy with a kind heart.

However, he has always been extremely sensitive about the way he talks. He has a large tongue, making it very hard to talk sometimes. He has a pretty bad speech impediment because of it. He has gotten into fights because of people making fun of him. He never hesitates to stand up for himself or his friends.

Roger's history, like most others, has it's dark spots. His dad left at a very young age, leaving him alone with his mother and sister. Some may call him feminine, gay even, but he is neither. He just has never had a role model father to raise him. He spent time in the house cooking with his mother as a young boy, rather than working with his father on the many devices he would fix up. Roger's only memoir of his father is a locket that his father made him. It had a picture of his parents and baby Roger in it. Needless to say, his father's picture was removed.

He has loved art from a very young age. He can draw and paint better than most people, which is what makes his job so valuable. He is a design artist at one of District 8's many clothing factories. The job fits his lazy personality perfectly, considering that he sits down and draws all day. He designs some of his own clothes as well. He can also play the clarinet. He loves art because he can express himself and his carefree attitude easily through it.

Roger has an affinity for morphling. For some reason though, the physical side effects of the drug have had no effect on Roger. He looks as healthy as ever. Roger is a firm believer that the painkiller allows him to think more freely and it gives him a great muse for his art. He is not an addict though. Or so he says.
